I stared at the only moving object in the room. I said that I'm here and it's okay. Not a single noise came from the lump. I held my pole up high and walked closer. I looked over to the other side of the mass and say Kitt's face.
She cried in fear of dying or being here forever. I got down on my knees and put the rod down and said "Your okay. I'm here now. Your not alone anymore." She looked up and her eyes light up with joyfullness, and hugged me till I was out of breath. "Miss me?" I joked. "Not a good time for a joke" she said sternfully and let me go. I picked up my weapon and said we should get a move on. She told me to wait and she ran out of the room with a scalpel. "Ehh. Good enough for now" I said.
We began for the other set of the stairs on the other side of the wing of the Hospital. We walked beside the Windows of the building. Just then, a loud shatter alerted me to turn around. I swung at the attacker only to find I wasn't hitting anything. "Strike three Ruth, your out" Kitt joked. What made the noise was an old Pidgeon, crashed into the window because it probably lost it's sight months ago. "Poor thing, to die in such a broken place" Kitt said calmly.
I nodded in agreement. We finally made our way to the stairs and an intersection of two hallways.
A sign hung on the wall, pointing in which direction lead to what. Then, something came to mind. "The surgical center is the front doors of the place, right? Why don't we find everyone and make our way to there." I suggested.
Kitt said she was cool with it, mainly she wasn't focused on that at the moment. Just as she said that, a loud moan let us know that we were not alone.....
