The moan sounded like a dying cow. Low and monsterious. I grabbed Kitt by the arm and ran into a room and shut the door as quickly and quietly as I could to not draw attention. I held my finger to my mouth to tell her to stay quiet.
We heard the moan getting closer and closer untill it was right out of our door. Then it slowly disappeared. I looked through the window of the door and said "I think he's gone." Kitt was nervous about getting up and talking, just because I could be wrong.
We walked out of the room, and I was right. It wasn't near us at all. "Close one" I said. "Yes, but what was that thing?!" Kitt yelled. "Whatever it was....just stay away from it" I stampered, caught in confusion on my own words.
We then finally made it to the stairwell. I slowly opened the broken door, not to draw attention from the moanful "monster". I looked through the doorway and saw tons and tons of stairs just obliterated. Certainly not going to take those stairs I thought to myself. "Let's try the next floor, maybe Keaton or Richard is up there." I suggested. Kitt nodded in agreement.
We slowly made our way up, hopping that none of us would slip and fall. I took another step and my foot fell through a hole. We both began to panic and Kitt pulled me up. "Don't go dying on me now", She pleaded and joked. "Trust me, I plan not to" I said.
After what felt like forever, we made it to the 4th Floor doors. I opened it, peering out to see if there was any danger. I slowly walked out with my pole held up high. I then put it down to show that it was all clear.
We were both tired from the climb. "Wanna go in a room and rest for a bit?" I asked. She shrugged. We made our way to another patients room. Only the counter and desks and a mattress remained in the room. We both sat down, tired and scared.
"Why did we have to go into that equipment room?!" Kitt said sadly. "Because" I said, "It's fun to explore, no matter what." The ambiance grew and grew, getting more scary by the minute. "This place really gives me the creeps" I said honestly.
We both got up and started our way around the floor. Listening closely for anyone and moans. We then made it to the floor receptionists desk. I began digging through the mess on the desk, hoping to find something. I pulled out a flashlight. "Jackpot!" I yelled.
"What did cha' find?" Kitt questioned. "A great survival tool", I said, then I held the Flashlight up high in air. "Nice" Kitt said. I turned it on to see if it worked. A steady beam of light illuminated the room. "I think we're good to go." I said. We began our treck again. At every passing room, I shined the flashlight in them to see if anyone happened to be there.
We made our way to the last set of rooms on the floor. I listened closely, maybe someone was down there I thought. Nothing. Not a single sound or movement came from the rooms. "Guess no ones on this floor." Kitt said. I nodded in agreement. Then we walked to the stairs to head to the next floor.
