As Richard ran for me, Kitt and Keaton tried to catch up to him to stop him. At that moment, time seemed to freeze. I thought, "What can I do?!" Then, a idea popped into my head.
As Richard got to me at the last second, I moved out of the way. As he ran past me, he fell into the pit. He grabbed onto the edge of the pit. Hanging down below me, he said, "I thought I could do it. But I guess I'm not going to ever succeed." "Grab my hand! I'll save you! You can do better in life!" I screamed, reaching my arm out to him.
He chuckled and said "Why should I live in this world if I won't ever survive, thrive, or be loved?" "Because your our friend!" Kitt screamed. Richard chuckled again and spoke his final words. " I failed. I Will miss you all." then he let go of the edge. Falling to his death, he yelled. As he went into the darkness, his screams grew quieter and quieter untill he wasn't heared again.
