::Chapter IX::
Imprisonment
"Ni...." Katy's voice dissolved and the darkness consumed her.
~ Few Hours Later ~
The darkness slowly faded away, bit by bit, only to be replaced by the golden light of the full moon shining through the bar-ed 8 by 8 inch window. It felt as if the moon was shining to its brightest tonight and she could not even leave the cage to see it, to admire it for the fact that she was chained to this wall with silver embedded cuffs. It doesn't make sense that silver affect me. After all, I'm only a nephilim. The titanium made cell bars stared as if to mock Katy with its presence. She wished she can escape this hell and fly far, far away.
Katy stared at her blood soaked wrists through her weary eyes. He said that she will only will be released when the time comes. When the time comes for them to use me as their most important pawn in the game, their weapon of destruction against the naive, innocent people. Just like how me, my sister and my parents were only a few years ago. Why I can not escape? It's because he threatened to subdue my sister's new, beautiful family. Including her. Katy will do anything in her power to keep her only remaining piece of hope away from her reach rather than facing this harsh, cold world. Anything. "Please save me." Three words she had never once in her life, left her lips.
~ Pack House ~
What a normal, yet perfect day. My life was officially back to the way it was. I think it was good that I took the high road to not chase after another woman who will only hurt and leave me. Speak of the devil, well a beautiful angel, in her case, and she will appear. Seth shook his head to focus on the life at hand.
After a day of his alpha duties and taking care of his baby, Seth decide to retire to bed. He grabbed the toothbrush and started brushing his teeth when suddenly his chest constricted. Seth dropped the toothbrush and clutched at his chest to get rid of the burning sensation. Just as the pain stopped, he hurriedly ripped off his shirt in search of wounds. There was none. Did I just have a heart attack?Just as he was about to go to bed, another flash of pain coursed through his body, draining him of all his energy. In his effort to stop himself from falling, Seth grabbed on to his nightstand, causing everything on top to scatter to the ground. His eyesight suddenly became blurry, and the last thing he remembered before succumbing into the darkness was the vibrant color of fire, dancing throughout his room. It was on fire.
"..eth. Seth. SETH!" A loud voice, which was from Cale he assumed, woke him up. Seth's sight of vision cleared and he found himself surrounded by his brother, mother and also his pack doctor. Rene, his mother, was sitting on a chair beside the bed, weeping. "W-what happened?" His voice came out hoarse and in short raspy breaths.
"What happened? Right. Why don't you tell us what happened. you bastard?" Cale's voice spoke loudly, causing his voice to ring throughout Seth's head. Seth hissed in pain as he tried to get up. "Were you trying to commit suicide? Was that it?" Cale stopped speaking for a moment as if he was lost for words and Seth took that pause to replay the last events of what happened. He must have blanked out for a while because the next thing he heard was his mother's loud sniffling. "Mom, I told you to stop crying. We shouldn't have saved him. Let him die for all I care." Cale looked away for a minute to rid of the tears prickling his eyes. Even Seth knew that Cale didn't mean it. After all, even if Seth was an arrogant loser, he was Cale's elder brother. The brother he adored and took as his idol ever since he was little. And the thought that person he looked up to just tried kill himself, made him angry, stupid and sad at the same time.
"Caelius. Watch your mouth, boy." Seth turned toward the door to see his father walk in. His father's hair was disheveled and there was noticeable bags under his eyes. He looked like he was close to the edge. He approached his wife and hugged her in attempt to calm her down.

Werewolf"Wow. You're such beautiful creature." She extended her hand toward me with her familiar voice. Isn't this woman scared? I'm a wild animal for god's sake. I flinched at her hand. "Come here. I didn't mean to scare you." She patted the top of my head...
