I forgot to publish this! So I might have to change a lot of what I wrote! I'm such an idiot! XD
Homecoming week is finally over. It was so tiring and horrible! Especially Friday because we had the homecoming parade, Olympics, and football game, but the parade was the worst of them all.
During the parade, my friend, who plays piccolo, leg crapped up and everyone who is in band knows that flutes and piccolos are always the ones in front (Plus some clarinets if there aren't that much flutes). So she had to keep on marching so she could keep on leading the rest of the band.
After a while, my legs began to hurt very bad to the point that I was falling behind my line a lot. It didn't help that I was starting to get a blister from my marching shoes. When I thought I couldn't go on any further, we finally stopped! Thank goodness! I actually thought I was going to collapse! No joke! I was actually to the very point of collapsing.
Anyways, I had to help my friend get back to the high school along with another friend because the whole band left us behind! So much for being a family! And the people on the float didn't even bother helping my friend at least even though they saw her struggling to walk!
After what seemed like hours, one float came to a stop. The people on it told us that they would give us a ride. Thank the Lord that they helped us! I don't know how long my friend could keep on walking! I am forever grateful with them. TwT
Once back at the high school, everyone except me and a couple of others went to the class Olympics. :3
Now for the football game. Not only was it freezing cold and when I say freezing cold, I mean freezing cold that most of us could barely move our fingers from the cold, we messed up quite a lot.
When we were playing Superman, almost all of us got our lost. Some of us were playing way ahead and some were behind! It was a mess! Then during Batman, our Bass Clarinet, who's in dance, thought our director told the dance to go off during that song. So she was about to walk out. Thank goodness she stopped walking when she realized that none of the other dance/band members didn't move! TwT
At the end of our performance, we got in order and started to walk off. We were half way from where we were supposed to stop when all of a sudden the percussion players played the signal we made to tell us to stop. So we did. I don't blame the percussion players though since it's hard to see from all the way in the back. :3
So after our band mom, who's one of my friends/flute mom, realized our mistake, she told us to keep on going. So we basically had to basically run off the field! What a way to end the performance! XD
