I was now sitting in professor Slughorn's and trying to concentrate.  I was having Potions with the slytherins as Slughorn had said. But to my utter amusement Draco wasn't there.  

"Students will be pairing you up so you can help each other in brewing potions."

"Hermione Granger and Draco Malfoy!"he announced. My eyes lost their sleepiness and fixed on Hermione's.

"Sir-"she tried to say something.

"No denials Ms.Granger. According to the last marks sheet, Draco has really been nice in Potions. And since you really do well in class and you are a little weak here, Draco will be perfect."Slughorn smiled.

Draco and Hermione perfect ??!! I laughed within myself.

"Where is Draco?"He asked.

"Rebecca you should know where he is!"He said.

No! Is he my boyfriend or something?? Why does he expect me to! RIDICULOUS!

"Sir, he is planning for something McGonagall ordered him to."I lied because this or that he helped me last night.

"It's okay, Blaise Zabini and Rebecca Granger!"he said.

'shit'I said under my breath.

"It is indeed shit"Zabini whispered as I went and stood beside him completely annoyed.

"Harry Potter and Pansy Parkinson"

Pansy's eyes buldged out and Harry covered his face with his hand.

Professor slughorn continued in his odd list of pairs.

"Friday night I would like all the Slug Club member to meet at my office. We will have a short dinner together...."with this horrible news he dismissed the class.

I was walking through the corridor to my next class Transfiguration when my eyes found Scarlett. She looked at me for quite a long time before turning around and walking away. I am still not ready to talk to her.

As usual Slytherins and Gryffindors were having charms together. Hermione and Harry were seated in the first row. Neville and Ron beside them. They were so lucky. I had lost my nearest and dearest friend. It's hard for me to live my life without Vanessa. I was sitting alone in the third corner bench scribbling insensible things with my quill on the parchment uselessly expecting that blond Slytherin Malfoy girl to approach the seat beside me. A single drop of tear slips from my eye and smudged the ink of the scribbles.

I came back to senses when some one really came and sat beside me. I looked up to see who it was. Yes the person was a Slytherin. The person was also blond. The person was also a pale Malfoy. But that was the boy not the girl I was expecting. 

All the while Draco was staring at me with a blank expression. By the time I turned my head, the whole class was reverberating in whispers.

"Silence students!"McGonagall said as she entered the class. 

The class started as she turned a book into necklace and so on.

"Draco C'mon sit here."Pansy whispered to the person beside me.

He didn't pay hid to her words.

"Draco"she kept on whispering for the fourth time. I was astounded McGonagall hadn't noticed it yet.   I don't even have any idea of how long Pansy has been crushing on Draco.

"Why don't you shut the hell up!"Draco said quiet loud.

"I would like to have a little silence Mr.Malfoy and Ms.Parkinson!"Professor said finally noticing.
