Hailey

"Wow! you really have been through hell and back." The waiter said to me while wiping the crumbs off the counter.

"Yep." I sighed and held tight onto the warm coffee mug.

"Hey, I never got your name." The waiter asked.

"Oh yah! Sorry it's Hailey." I smiled and set down my coffee to shake his hand.

"Nice to meet you Hailey, I'm Adam." He smirked then left to take someone's order.

Why did this have to happen to me? Why did I ever get in that stupid car crash? I could have been happy and living with Harry right now. A sudden rush of emotion caught up to me so I grabbed my things and went outside. I breathed in the fresh air. The sun blazing on my pale skin. There was silence. Nobody in sight. Where even am I? I got off the bus without even knowing where I am. I walked up to a white run down sign. It read "Home of Tilly". It sure was a small town. All there was was a couple a run down houses behind the café and what looks like a grocery store in the distance. I shrugged my bag over my shoulder and started to walk to the run down building. I really should have packed lighter.

The door squeaked and a little bell rang as I walked inside the store. It was a grocery store. If you could call two isles of unknown food and one person working a grocery store.

"Hello there! May I help you with something?"

"Um..  Yeah. Do you have a bus schedule?" I said back to the old man.

"Sorry, I don't but you can get those at the café across the street." He pointed in the direction of the café .

"Thanks. I must have missed them when I was there. Thanks for your help." I smiled as I started towards the door. I hear a faint rumbling sound and an emptiness in my stomach. I stopped and turned around.

"I should have eaten more when I was at the cafè to." I laughed in embarrassment.

"Oh that's fine. There's food here. Go walk around and see what you like." He smiled. I walked passed him to the first isle. I searched and searched for something that I knew was edible until I found a box of ritz crackers. I also found a bottle of water that wasn't cold but it'll have to do. I paid for both and put them into my already full bag.

Ok. Bus schedule. Which was at the café so I made my way back over there only to find a smiling Adam when I walked in.

"You're back! You decided that your boyfriends not good enough for you so you came crawling back to me." He smirked.

"Ha ha very funny. In your dreams kid."

"So what brought you back then?"

"I forgot a bus schedule. Do you have them here?" I asked.

"Yep. Hold on a second." He ducked down behind the counter and grabbed a sheet of paper.

"Here ya go. Next bus comes in 5minutes" He hands the paper to me.

"So this is goodbye then." I say.

Adam smiles and walks around the counter and wraps me in a comforting hug and whispers in my ear.

"Goodbye Hailey. Be safe. I hope everything works out for you."

Out of all the people I've met in my life, nobody is as sweet as the guy standing in front of me. I would have never guessed that I would make a friend on this trip.

"Thank you Adam. I'll come and visit sometime." I smiled and waved back at him.

"I'll be here waiting, darling"

I laughed and said goodbye to the blue-eyed boy named Adam. I actually think that I will come and visit this place again in the future. It's a wonderful place. No worries here, no drama, just absolute peace. I'm genuinely sad when I sit down on the bus seat. I took one final glance at the one place that made me happy then it was gone. Reality was back. And so was the thought of Harry. What was I gonna do. Should I go back to my old life in my art studio or should I keep traveling around on this very bus? Or should I even go back to Tilly?
