Dans pov

We were sitting in a park, on a warm summers day. I held Phil's hand as we spoke to our close friend Kayla.

"So then because I was awkward enough to say that back, he said.." Phil trailed off in my mind.

I wasn't really properly listening to Phil, I was gazing into his glittering blue eyes.

They all began laughing, so I joined in even though I didn't hear the joke.

Suddenly, there was a shout.

"Look at them Jessica! Isn't that those gay people you used to watch on YouTube?" A nearby girl shouted over.

"Until they came out." The girl laughed, heading over to us.

The girl looked around nineteen, about the same age as our Kayla.

They carried on walking until they were right up at us.

"You broke my best friends heart" said the tall one.

"Yeah, Olivia was like, totally, upset when you guys came out!" blabbered the smaller one, agreeing with anything that the taller one said.

"I hope you realise that your relationship is a sin." Continued the tall one.

"Yeah, what Jessica said!" smiled the smaller one.

"And your problem is?.." growled Kayla, I felt her growing very tense by my side.

"Don't you pipe up, skinny." said Jessica.

"You look like you're made of twigs" smirked the smaller one.

"Good one Hannah!" Giggled Jessica.

"How about I show you what some twigs can do!" Kayla shouted, almost jumping on the girls before me and Phil held her back.

"Ooh, feisty" said Jessica.

Hannah giggled nervously, looking like she felt regret.

"You probably can't even fight" said Jessica.

"Wanna bet?" growled Kayla, me and Phil still holding her back.

"You just think you're cool because you're hanging out with the gay YouTubers, idiot." said Jessica, putting emphasis on the word gay.

"You don't deserve the air you breathe." she whispered, right up to Phil's face.

That's it. I thought.

And with that, I released my tight stern grip on Kayla.

"Is that right?" Kayla screamed in Jessica's face.

"Yeah!" Jessica sneered, throwing her bag at Hannah.

There was a scream.

I turned around, to see Kayla gabbing the taller girls hair.

"No Kayla!" I shouted.

"Kayla let her go!" agreed Phil.

Kayla grabbed Jessica's hair, and pulled her around the grass, the girl screeching and attempting to hit Kayla.

"You stupid little idiot! Let go of me!" she whined.

Kayla wouldn't stop, her face turning red, and she was breathing heavily.

I remember her fights in high school.

I know how much damage she can to when she's up to it.

Kayla was still holding onto Jessica's long blonde hair, smacking Jessica's face off of her knee.

"KAYLA NO!" Me and Phil kept on repeating.

Nothing would stop her, as Jessica's continuous taunts and names fuelled Kayla's hits.

Kayla hit the girl another couple times in the face, before releasing her grip.

Kayla walked back the bench we were sitting on, meanwhile Jessica was still going.

"FUCKING FAGGOTS!" Jessica screamed, as loud as her voice would let her.

Kayla rose up from the bench again, an hit the girl hard, square in the face.

This set the girl back onto her bum, blood pouring from her nose.

The girl looked at the blood, and burst into tears.

Her an her friend Hannah fled away, running fast.

"And don't you forget it!" Kayla yelled in triumph, sitting in between me and Phil on the bench.

"Don't mess with us!"
