Dans pov

10:43

I woke up in an unknown bed, wearing nothing but black skinny jeans.

There was a girl to my left, a flow of long blonde hair beside me.

I yawned, stretched, and tried to sit up. Only to be greeted with a thumping headache. This felt like one of the worst hangovers I've had in a long time.

The girl began to stir beside me, and I just put my head to the pillow and tried to go back to sleep to avoid any awkwardness.

12:59

I woke up again, this time there was no girl beside me. I stood up and opened the bedroom door, feeling quite self-conscious and stupid because I wasn't wearing any shirt.

I recognised this house from somewhere.

I could hear whistling from the kitchen, along with the smell of crispy bacon.

Walking towards the room of which the noise and cooking was coming from, I suddenly remembered where I recognised this house from.

This was my old best friend Mia's house.

I popped my head around the kitchen door, looking for Mia.

There she was, in nothing but her underwear and my black and white ring t-shirt. Her long blonde hair was messed up a bit, and her makeup looked smudged, and almost Scene like, it reminded me of our high school days.

She was cooking the bacon, humming to the tune of The Summer Set-Drunk Love.

She spotted me after about two seconds, and she began to smile.

"Good morning gorgeous" she purred.

"H-hey Mia, um..what happened last night?" I asked, looking at the floor and crossing my arms to cover myself up a bit.

"Oh you don't remember?" Mia replied sarcastically, laughing.

"Well, no" I murmured.

"Well some things happened"

"Like what?" I pleaded.

"Hmm."

"Mia, we didn't....did we?" I asked.

"Oh that I remember now Dan." She laughed.

"Mia..-" I started.

"Lets just say I think the neighbours know your name now" she said, then burst into a fit of laughter after she seen my facial expression.

"I was drunk, so sorry if-".

She put a finger to my lips.

"Don't speak." she smiled.

Suddenly I felt the strong urge to be sick.

I sped to the nearest toilet that I could remember existed in this house, and threw up violently. Several times.

As I was about to get up to clean myself up, I turned to see Mia standing behind me.

"Sexy." said Mia sarcastically, playing with her fluffed up hair.

After I cleaned myself up and flushed the toilet, I turned to face Mia.

"Mia, I don't know or remember what happened last night, but it wasn't supposed to happen, okay?"

I watched as her cheeky smiling face dropped.

"Wh-what?" Mia whimpered, her adultness fading, throwing her back to the scared little teenager I remembered her to be.

I started to walk past her.

"I'm sorry-"

"Dan don't go! Was it something I did? Am I not pretty enough? What is it?" She tried desperately.

"Mia, it's not that." I said, walking to her bedroom and sitting on her bed.

"What is it then?" she squeaked, sitting on my lap, looking me in the eyes, and grabbing my bare shoulders.

"Mia-"

"Dan, what is it?"

"In college..-"

"What about college?!" She pleaded, wrapping her legs around my waist.

I shuffled uncomfortably, "Everybody used to say you had an STD."

I watched as tears filled her eyes, and she pushed me away from her.

"That's all lies!" She shouted, covering her face as a tear rolled down her cheek.

"It's just people said that-"

"People can say but it's not the truth, Dan." Mia said, her adult woman self forming back.

"Yeah, but-"

"Dan I've only slept with two people, one being my boyfriend of four years, the second? You of course"

The silence was hurting.

"I lost my virginity after I left college" she stammered nervously.

"It was all just some sort of sick and twisted joke."

"Mia, I'm so sorry. I never knew it was just rumours. I thought-I thought that it might be true."

"For a minute do you think that I'm that type of girl? Was that the reason we didn't hang out anymore? I was always blaming myself" she spoke sternly, climbing off of my lap.

"Sorry."

"Sorry doesn't mean fuck all! It's still there! If you break a plate and say sorry to it, that doesn't mean that it's fixed!"

She stripped off my black ad white ring t-shirt, and thrown it at me.

"I think it's time for you to leave, Dan."
