Kairo's POV
After being out of the hospital for 1 week, I finally decided to go to school. Since then, it's been 3 weeks and Chris hasn't been to school at all. He didn't call, text me, or anything within that 1 week I waited before returning to school.
So it's been almost a month since I last talked to, or heard from Chris, and I'm starting to get worried.
He didn't answer any of the few texts I sent him asking was he okay. I tried calling, but he didn't answer. Sometimes it goes straight to voicemail, sometimes it just rings. At least I know that by it ringing that his phone's on, so I guess that means he's okay, right?
Since I don't talk to Chris anymore, Kiana and I have gotten really close. I found out from my mom, who I confronted about the situation with my dad and she was completely dumbfounded on how I knew, that Kiana was there the first day I was admitted into the hospital.
She didn't visit me as much as Chris, but she was there from time to time. That was when I realized that she wasn't a fake friend, and since then we've been hanging out together more.
I guess you can say she's like my best friend.
We were at lunch, just talking. I haven't had any altercations with Makayla since I came back. Maybe she feels bad that she drove me to attempt suicide and decided to change her ways?
Nah, doubt it.
I was snapped out of my thoughts by Kiana.
"Girl, did you even hear me?" she asked.
"Huh? Oh, my bad... What'd you say?"
She playfully rolled her eyes, "I saaaaiiiid, do you wanna go to a party with me tonight?" she asked again.
I immediately started shaking my head frantically, "Nuh uh, nope. I don't do parties."
"Why nottttt???" she whined.
I rolled my eyes, "I just don't."
"Please, Kairo? Pretty, pretty, pleeeeeaaaaa--"
"Quit begging! You look like a dog." I interrupted.
She laughed, "Say yes or I'll beg all day!"
"Mhm? Sure." I scoffed.
She daringly cocked an eyebrow, "PLEEEEEEEEAAAAAA--"
"Okay! Okay! Damn girl...."
"Yay!" she cheered. I rolled my eyes and laughed.
Just then the bell rang. We walked each other to our lockers, then parted ways for our next class.

Kiana decided to come home with me after school. Apparently, she already had this whole thing planned out and brought her things to school in a duffle bag. -__-
When we got to my house, she immediately went to my closet.
"This yo first party so we gotta make sure you lookin' bad as hell." I heard her slightly muffled voice say.
"I doubt you're gonna find something in there. I mostly wear sweats and T-shirts, remember?"
I heard her groan, "Oh yeeeaaaah..... where's your mom?" she asked, looking as if she got an idea.
"In her room?" I hesitantly replied.
She nodded and left out of my room. She went down the hall to my mom's room and knocked on the door. My mother appeared seconds later.
"Hey Mrs. Carter, I wanted to take Kai out to a party so that she can loosen up a little, buuuut.... she doesn't have anything to wear." Kiana told my mom quickly.
