Loki got off of the bed and used his seidr to examine her body. Alice furrowed her brow as she adjusted to the light in the room. She then looked around the room and then back up at Loki.

"Where are we?" She asked.

"We're in the healing rooms," Loki told her. "I found you in our bathroom collapsed on the floor."

Alice observed Loki's face and took in the bags under his eyes.

"Oh, gods, I'm so happy you've woken up. I can't believe it! We didn't know if you would." He exclaimed, taking her hands in his.

"Didn't know if I would...how long was I out for?"

Before Loki could even answer, Alice's eyes went wide as she snatched her hands from Loki's grasp. He watched as she hurriedly pushed back the covers and sighed with relief. She ran her hands over her belly and chuckled lightly as she laid her head back against the pillows.

"Just a week." He replied.

"What happened to me?" She inquired.

"The curse was too much and your body gave out. Eir described it as a hibernation of some sort. Your parents referred to it as a coma. All we know is that your powers were trying to heal you." Loki explained.

"A week doesn't make sense. I saw you, but my memory is fuzzy." She stated.

"Wait, you saw me?" His eyes widened.

"I can't remember it all but I know I saw you or spoke to you. I could hear words and phrases. Trying to think is making my head hurt." Alice winced.

"That's okay. You don't have to remember it now. Just rest and lie back." He told her.

As Alice put her hands down from her face, she saw how her fingernails turned black and she furrowed her brow trying to think how it was possible. Loki then rushed outside and called for Eir. When she entered, she thanked the gods seeing Alice awake and moving on the bed. Eir sprinted to her bedside and began her own examination.

"Loki, I was asleep for a week?" Alice inquired.

He nodded his head, taking her hand in his as she reached out for him.

"What about the kids? How are they? Who's been looking after them? Do they know what's happened to me? And what about my parents? Do they know everything too?"

Loki ran his hand down the side of her face, trying to soothe her as she rambled on with all her questions.

"Try and calm down, Alice. We'll answer all of your questions soon. For now, I'm going to get you some food. You're probably very hungry right now." Eir told her softly.

Alice nodded her head and turned her head to look up at Loki as Eir exited the room. He sat down on the edge of the bed and leaned forward, laying a kiss to her forehead.

"I'm so relieved you're awake, darling." Loki whispered.

He pulled back to see her face become flushed, but he didn't know if it was her reaction to him or her trying to adjust.

"I hope you didn't go crazy." She chuckled.

Loki let out a short laugh as he ran his thumb across her cheek.

"Not too crazy." He spoke.

"Oh, so just the regular amount of crazy?"
"Yes, the amount you shouldn't worry over." He laughed.

"That's good to hear." She grinned.

Loki pushed back the tears in his eyes as he gazed over Alice's face. Eir returned with her meal and advised Alice to eat little pieces at a time. Loki pulled up his chair next to her bed as he instructed Eir to let the family know she was awake. Alice picked at her food as Loki helped her to sit up against the headboard.
