Beths POV

While coming here may not have been the greatest idea, I had to see her, I had to make sure she was okay with everything that was happening, and also to make sure that her mother didn't do anything rash, like send her to the crazy house again. Oh how I despised that woman, and she me to be honest, but who cares. And while I may be worried over Cain and what he may do, I didn't want Blue to worry, she has had enough on her plate as it is and I really didn't need to add to that shit pile.

I move to the bed, and go under the covers, and I see that Blue is standing at the end of the bed, with her arms crossed and I know with a certainty that only best friends have that she was not going to drop it.
"Nothing to concern yourself with okay?" I say, while smiling at her.

"Hmm sure. Now spill." she says in an overly choppy way.
"I know Cain from before, okay? He once tricked me into believing I was in love with that bastard. And as they are seen as the more dominant of races, among the supernatural community so he just decided to play with me and now he wants me to sell you a fairy tale with them being all good and noble, they're just dicks who can kill a few things." As I was talking Lu came to it on the bed as well as Blue so now we were huddled together, making this more intimate.

"I already knew he was a dick, so nothing lost here, but what the hell? When did you have the tie to do all of that, without me knowing this?" Blue looked at me with her puppy dog eyes and I knew that I have hurt her, not saying my secret when I always knew hers but I can't change what happened, just make sure this doesn't happen in the future.

"I'm sorry." I state, but as we don't have anything to add, we go to watching the movie and soon everyone falls asleep.

Before I join them, I have one thought: How glad I am that I have her in my life, and nothing will get it the way, just watch me.

--- School, break ---

No sign of the boys and I can't say I'm disappointed. But now we have a more important mission, to get the magic folk together and on to our plan. Even though we haven't really came up with one so far but we know something is coming, and damn it wasn't going to catch us completely unprotected.

The first person we go to is the librarian, the half fairy who always had a soft spot for Blue, and tolerated me for her sake, I'm really not that popular, may have something to do with my temper though.

"Hey." I say to get his attention, when I know full well he smelled me when we first came in, when he turned he saw a nervous looking Blue hiding behind me and me standing proudly.
"There is something coming, danger wise, Doughty. We are hoping that you will join us, together we can protect each other. The ghosts are already on our side, so is my pack." He looked suspiciously at us, probably thinking the worst as I never talked to him properly before and Blue was looking jumpy.

"Look we can't trust the hunters, they tried to kill Blue, an innocent who never did anything bad." The fire in his eyes shocked everyone, and the waves of power coming out of him were impressive, he really does have a soft spot for her.
"Where are the rascals now? I knew there was something wrong with the as soon as I saw them." He growled deep, more riled than I have ever seen him.

"Doughty," piped up Blue, "calm down, we sorted it out, really. We just want to make sure you know of the danger and know you can join us." He looked at her with respect shining in his eyes and the rage inside him calmed down.

"Of course I will join you. And I'll let my brothers and sister know."

And so it began, the hunt against time, warning of the dangers to come, every single being. Lets just say we were busy.
