You left your place that afternoon to meet Near. You waited for a taxi to come as you stood by the sidewalk next to the street. It was late winter and it was freezing cold. You looked at the time on your wrist to see it was four o'clock.
Finally a taxi arrived and you got in. You told the man to take you to the closest direction where Near stayed in. Once he stopped at the certain area you told him to, you paid him and got out of the car.
You watched the taxi leave until there was no sight of it. You looked around cautiously so that no one was spying on you. Along you walked the path of snow in front of you. The color white reminded you a lot of the albino boy. Since he was always in white clothing all those years ago.
Finally, you have arrived. You looked at the tall building from top to bottom. It was enormous with lots of floors that almost reached the clouds.
You examined the building for a moment until you felt yourself being watched. Your heart was beating really fast to know that in a few moments, you will be seeing Near for the first time in a long time. You gripped on to your purse as you slowly approached the tall building inside. You looked around as you entered and noticed two police men approach to you.
"Excuse me, ma'am. You can't be in here. This is a private building for police officers. Do you have an ID with you or anything to confirm your identity?" One of them asked you.
You slowly nodded your head and looked down at your purse.
"Yes, i do....i'm actually here to see an old friend of mine. He goes by the name of Near. I'm his friend, (Y/N). By any chance, is he on this building?" You replied to them as you reached for your ID in your purse.
One of the police men looked at you in shock. As if they had been discovered by someone they knew their secret.
"....I'm sorry ma'am but...we don't know any person who goes by the name you mentioned. I would kindly ask for you to leave this instant" They said as one of them pointed out the door.
You looked at them in disbelief. You refused to believe they were telling you the truth.
"What?....i don't understand....Near must be in this building! I just know it! I checked it carefully to see if this was the right place!...no, this can't be happening to me. I went through all the trouble to get here. Maybe they're lying. Near IS in this building....but, maybe...he's just being careful. He doesn't want anybody to know that he's here...or...maybe....they're right..."
You put your ID back in your purse as you sadly looked away from them.
"....I understand..." Is all you said as you started walking back the door you came from.
"Let her in gentlemen, this lady is indeed a friend of mine.." You turned around to recognize that voice.
Water immediately formed in your eyes to realize it was Near's voice talking on one of the police's walkie talkies.
"...C-could that possibly be...Near??"
"Right this way ma'am" one of them took you to see Near in his head quarters.
***
Once you entered the room, you saw a small white figure sitting on the floor surrounded by toys. You definitely knew it was him. Your fluffy little sheep boy. 🐏 (or whatever nickname you want to call him.)
You stood there in surprise to see he hasn't changed one bit. You felt your cheeks turned red as you were in the same room as he was. You wanted to hug him so badly. But you didn't know how he would react to it. Since it has been a long time. He might had changed over the years you thought. So instead, you only gave him a gentle, sweet smile.
