3:37pm-Monday

Thankfully I know what house Joy lives in. It was the only thing I heard while she was babbling. I take a deep breath and walk up her porch. Slowly I raise my hand and push the doorbell. I hear it ring and a person hurrying over to answer. The door swings open and a lady looks down at me her eyes analyzing me. Sizing me up. I quickly straighten my shirt and run my hands through my hair to hand-brush it. She watches me curiously her eyes watching my hands work intently. When I finish I let my hands drop to my sides and I look back up at her. She looks middle age. She has grayish blue eyes and fair skin. She has dark brown hair almost looking black and a warm look in her eyes. I smile. "Hi, I'm Darcy. I live in this neighborhood and I am friends with Joy." Suddenly her eyes narrow and her smile turns into a scowl. "You have a lot of explaining to do" she says. "I know" I say looking down. "I'm sorry" I apologize. "Don't apologize to me. Apologize to Joy!" "Yes ma'am" I agree. "She's upstairs" "Ok" I say running toward the stairs. I hurry up the stairs and find a room that says Joy on it in big letters. I knock but there is no answer. All I hear is muffled crying. I knock again. "Joy, please" I beg. "Go away" she croaks. "I'm sorry" I say. "Please forgive me" I plead. Something hits the door and I assume it's a pillow. I sigh. I slide down against the door and stare at a wall. "Joy-" I began. Then the door suddenly opens pushing me behind it. I dart out from behind the door and charge at Joy embracing her in a hug. She freezes for a minute but then she hugs me back.
