Growing Up

Perfect?

(Clary's PoV)

Alec was standing behind two adults. They were kind of fuzzy so I don't see there faces. Isabelle is standing behind him, so is Jace and a little boy. I can't see the little boys face that well either. The look like a family of warriors. But I am confused, because Alec is my brother. But he fits in so well. 

Izzy looks stunning. I didn't notice it before because of the adrenaline and fright I was on. She looks happy but if you look close enough she is terrified. I want to go over to her and hug her and tell her that everything will be okay but my feet stay planted. 

Jace has a dangerous glint in his eyes. He has seen too much for someone of his age. He has to many scars. Seen and not seen. He hides behind a glamour of  sarcasm and good looks. Even though I don't really see it. He acts like he owns the world but know he is only a pawn in this game of life.

They look strong but I can easily see through the glamour they are putting up. They are scared. They want someone to share there grief with. Alec is holding a secret that he feels will make everyone hate him. Izzy is too but she also uses rebellion as an act. She is amazing and graceful in the inside and out. Jace looks confused but acts like he knows everything. They each way to deal with what they want to hind from everyone. For themselves. 

What they don't know is that if they told there secrets that they will have less pressure to be better than they already are. To be better they have to be themselves. SO what if they like someone they sould't. Or isn't the best. Or doesn't know what to say or do. All they have to do is talk to someone and ask for advise. They don't have to be afraid. Yet they stand still and keep up the walls. Can someone break those walls down or will they suffocate themselves to be ...

Perfect.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Sorry this on is kind of weird but this is Clary's thoughts as she is dreaming. Alec hasn't woken up yet but does he want to and face the heaven and hell that will rain down on him?
