Hodge

Recap:

"Jace, Izzy, who are they.." 

(Izzy's PoV)

I look up from staring at Clary and "my brother" to see Hodge. "Ah Hodge, this is Clary, Alec, and..." I trail off and look at her friend.  "Simon." He finishes for me. "And Simon. Guys this is Hodge Starkweather. He is mine and Jace's tutor. He also was an ex-circle member. Which, "I say turning back to Hodge, "is why we are here."

He doesn't say anything and just looks at Clary. "Jocelyn." Hodge said. Clary looks up confused. "That's my mother's name. Do you know her?" Clary asks with curiosity in her eyes. She always looked curios. It suited her. I shake my head to get rid of those thoughts. I am a Shadowhunter, I can't have those thoughts.

"Jocelyn was one f my best friends. She was in the Circle with me and the others." He said. "My mother wouldn't be in the Circle. She wouldn't be in such a ....such a group." Clary looked said as she took in this information.

"Clary. Your mother wasn't just in the group she was married to the leader. Your father." Hodge said carefully. Clary looked lost for words. Simon had left to explore a while age. I looked at Alec to see him being fidgety. "Alec do you know anything important that Jocelyn would have told you before Valentine took her." 

Alec looked up and looked at Jace. I had though Hodge had spoken but wasn't that surprised to see that Jace had taken control of the conversation. "I...I....Clary look I wanted to tell you but mom told me not to say anything." Clary flinched when he reached out to put a hand on her shoulder. Clary I didn't know he was your father. I swear. Mom just told me that he was dangerous man and that if I ever heard the name then to take you and run." Clary was close to tears and Alec looked compromised. 

"I think that this has been enough information for one day. I will show you to your rooms." I started walking then looked back to see they hadn't moved. I huffed and grabbed each of them by their arm and walked out the library door. Once we stepped out I let go of them. We walked in complete silence. I walked in the front with Clary and Simon holding hands and whispering to each other.

I felt something at the pit of my stomach but just brushed it off. Alec was pulling up the rear while looking deep in thought. I came upon three sets of doors and stopped. They stopped short of bumping into me. "Alec your room is the first on the right. Clary's yours is the first on the left and Simon you are next to Alec." 

They all nodded and went to their doors. Alec went in to his room with a quick goodnight to us all. I still have no idea to act around him.  Simon then went into his room with a quick glance at us then whispered something to Clary that made her blush. She looked so innocent and cute when she blushed. I smiled a bit but quickly covered with covering my face with my hair. Once I heard Simon's door close I looked up.

Clary was standing against her door frame with her hand in the handle. "Goodnight Isabelle." I loved the way my name sounded when it came out of her mouth. I smiled and real smile and nodded. "Goodnight Clary." I started to walk away when I felt something grab my wrist. I turned around to see Clary looking at me with a smirk on her face. She leaned down and kissed my cheek before turning around and walking into her room.

I could feel my face heating up like crazy. I cleared my throat and turned around. I stare walking to my room with a smile on my face. Once I got there I changed into my pj's and got into bed. Tomorrow was going to be busy. The High Warlock of Brooklyn was coming to help with a protection spell and to check up on our new members to the institute. I cleared my head and went to sleep with only one red headed beauty on my mind.

I know it was a week but it's been so crazy. Anyway I hoped you liked this chapter. You got to see into Izzy's thoughts for once. I am going to do a little MALEC next chapter and wanted some suggestions on how they meet and who is with them. Anyway till next time. BYE!!
