The room was surrounded by plants of all usage, shape, and colors. Hua Liang laid in the middle of this room, in a bed with a thin cotton blanket over her. Hua Liang's eyes fluttered open and she immediately sits up to examine the unfamiliar environment. Pain shot through her arm as she put weight on her injured arm. She looks at her arm and notices that it had been bandaged. Her clothes had also been changed. She's now wearing a plain blue t-shirt and white shorts that are a size too big on her. A string was strung between the hoops on the waist of the short and it serves as a belt to keep the shorts on her waist.

She got up and took in her surrounding. She can't remember how she ended up here. She remembers fighting the Flare Wolf and then......

The door suddenly opens and reveals a young youth carrying wood. His eyes gleamed when he saw Hua Liang, awake. He quickly drops the wood next to the door and ran towards Hua Liang.

"Xiao Hua!" He hugged her. Hua Liang notices that this boy is slightly taller than her. "I miss you so much!"

Hua Liang didn't know what to do. She couldn't understand how this boy knew her but she does know that he felt familiar. "...How do you know my name?" She asked. She doesn't recall who this boy, who acts so familiar with her, is.

The boy pulls away from Hua Liang and looks up. His smile falters for a second but he quickly recovers. "Don't you remember me? It must have been so long since we last met that you forgot what I look like. Or did I change so much that Xiao Hua can't recognize me? I'm Xiao Ke. We used to play together when we were younger! Well, actually you took care of me. I wanted to find you as soon as possible but...."

"Xiao Ke." Hua Liang tries to remember. Xiao Ke... She only remembers one Xiao Ke. She used to play with a boy that she befriended from a forest near her house. He was a wild boy who acted like a wild animal. Hua Liang had to teach him how to speak and write. He had a unique red swirl around his right arm.... Hua Liang look at the boy's arm and discover the same red swirl around his arm. "You're Xiao Ke?!"

"Yay! You remember!" He went back to hugging Hua Liang. "I was devastated when I found your house being guarded. Everybody was forced to evacuate. I missed you so I tried to find you. That's how I stumble upon this forest. At first, I was scared but I wanted to meet you so I endured.... A couple days ago, I saw you. I'm so happy that we can finally meet! You can live here with me! It's really nice!"

"Actually, I can't Xiao Ke." Hua Liang said apolitical.

"Why not?"

"I'm attending a school right now."

"School..... what's a school? I can attend 'school' with Xiao Hua." Xiao Ke said innocently.

Hua Liang sigh. Xiao Ke had lived in the forest too long. She doesn't know how Xiao Ke ended up in the forest in the first place. She didn't know who be so cruel to leave a child in a forest full of spirit beasts. Although the spirit beasts in the forest near her house ae mostly low ranked but that doesn't mean that leaving an unattended child in the forest is safe.

"It's a place where I can learn things." Hua Liang replied.

"I want to go to school too!" Xiao Ke said happily. "That way I'll always be with Xiao Hua!"

"Maybe...."

"Are you hungry? I gathered fruits." Xiao Ke dragged Hua Liang towards the table and sat her down. "Here!" He handed her wild berries and Hua Liang smile and ate each one slowly.

"Xiao Hua, your spirit is so pretty!" Xiao Ke suddenly said. He had seen her spirit during her fight with the Flare Wolf. "I wish I had a spirit like that." Xiao Ke said, admiring Hua Liang's spirit.
