help ya girl out

so i need advice

i started a new school, this year and i had some friends going into it but after a few weeks i noticed that we didn't have much in common

but there was another "squad" who liked the same things as me, had a lot of common interests

they were kinda reaching out to me, but they also intimidated me a little so I just stayed in my lane

some how I started hanging out with them more and more

now in general I'm a really outgoing loud big personality.

if I'm comfortable around you I'll never shut my mouth

but i just can't seem to join in conversations. it's like im so afraid of being judged or people not liking me that i just can't seem to talk

so i need advice;

have you ever been the new kid?

how did you make friends?

how did you not give a shit?

how do you keep up with conversations/know what to talk about?
