Emily kicked her legs onto the coffee table and sighed. Allison was at work, and it was a few days after the competition. All of her new clothes were in the closet, but she was wearing her Cookie Monster belly button ring below her belly shirt. Slowly, she clicked through the channels, hoping their was something on t.v. Finding nothing, she pulled out her laptop and opened Slender Sanitorium.

"This shit be cray." She murmured and started to walk through the building. "Cray, cray, cray it be..."

When she grabbed the first note, she turned the music down a bit. Scaring the hell out of herself was not what she wanted to do. When the second note came along, she grabbed it and turned around. She silently jumped and slammed her fingers against her keyboard when she saw Slender Man.

"Mother of Jesus, little baby." She huffed and continued to play.

Just before grabbing the third note, her phone began to ring in her bedroom. She shrieked and closed the lid to her laptop. Whoever was calling her, was going to die. She got up and headed into her bedroom. She flicked her thumb across her screen and tapped the speaker button.

"Yellow?" She slurred and walked out of her room.

"Purple." James' said.

"Oh," She smiled, all feelings of irritation gone in a split second. "Hey, James. What's going on?"

"Nothing right at the moment." James chuckled. "I wanted to know if you're up to making an extra buck or two."

"I'm always up for that!" She laughed.

"Awesome!" James' exclaimed. "Got a pen?"

"One minute." She scrambled into the other room.

Once she got a pen and a sticky note, he began to give her address. She applied noises when appropriate.

"Got all that?" He asked.

"No, I didn't write anything." Emily snorted. "Of course I got it, you dork."

"Great." James laughed. "Just come on over around noon. Don't forget to look good for the camera!"

When he hung up, she stood still for a moment. She carried on a perfect conversation with a guy. No stuttering, no fidgeting, no nothing. She chuckled, knowing she'd never be able to do that face-to-face. She was never an expert in the art of talking to people. Otherwise known as, being social.

She walked into the bathroom and slipped off her sweats. She pulled on some gold shorts. She brushed her hair and quickly put it up into a ponytail. After a moment, she ditched her belly shirt and threw on a white muscle shirt. Then she realized something. Allison was work, so she didn't have a ride.

She knew her only option would be an interesting one. She didn't want to bother him, but she had no choice. With a sigh, she opened her contacts and clicked the call button. After a moment, he answered.

"What's up?"

"Uh, I feel like an idiot." Emily said. "Allison is working today, so I don't have a ride."

"I'll have Aleks come and get you." James chuckled.

"Alright." She muttered. "See you."

When she hung up, she felt something falter in the pit of her stomach. She wasn't quite sure why, but she felt depressed at the notion that she'd be riding with someone she didn't even know instead of James. With a sigh, she grabbed her purse and pulled out her personal makeup. She gave herself light brown eyeshadow and a soft, baby pink lip stick. She threw her things back into the purse, including her phone.
