After me and Liam walked through the park and ate some hotdogs and ice cream, we headed for the skating rink.
It was about an hour drive from the park to the skating rink. And the whole time me and Liam sang songs and laughed with each other.
I really enjoy his company. I know we are dating and stuff but even if we weren't i would still enjoy him like a do now. He treats me better than Niall did. And he really does love me.
If only my dad would answer my calls and texts. Ethan hasn't texted or called for a long time either. It's been almost a month now that they split.
I wonder if Maura and my dad are still together...i hope not. That means if i go spend time with my dad, Niall might be there. But than again i have Liam to take with me. So no worries there really.
"Is this it?" Liam drug me out of my thinking.
"Yeah. Okay, this will be fun. I promise. And you'll have a great time. I always did."
"Okay. Whatever you say."
"Come on! Don't forget the presents!" I shut my car door and ran up to the doors.
I took in the old but fresh smell of the skating rink.
"Hello darling! Haven't seen you in forever!" an old mans voice shouts over the loud music.
"Marshall!!" I ran over to him and gave the old guy a hug.
"How have you been?"
"Last time i was here, till now, it's been crazy. Just, unreal it seems."
"I heard about your mom...I'm so sorry of the loss. I know how it feels." Marshall patted my shoulder in comfort.
"Can we not talk about that? Not being rude, just i never got to say something's and I would like to talk about it some place else also."
"Yeah yeah! Of course. My bad, really. So, how's Niall?"
"We broke up a while ago. Gladly." I take a look around the familiar place.
"Oohhhh. I see what you mean by 'unreal'." Marshall chuckles and i join, just as Liam walks in.
"So who's this fine young man?" he walks over to Liam and shakes his hand.
"Marshall. You are...?"
"Liam. Liam Payne, nice to meet you Marshall."
"Nice to meet you too. Is this darling over here your lady?" I see Marshall point to me and Liam looks over the mans shoulder.
I can see his face light up and he smiles from ear to ear.
"Yes, yes she is."
"Well, she's a fine little lady so you better take good care of her. She has a kind heart and a loving soul. Her voice is as beautiful as herself. Also, she has some pretty good moves out on the floor. Especially when it play her song." I blush at all the kind things Marshall says about me, and walk away to get my skates.
"Well, take good care Liam. I'll let you guys i free like i always go with Emily." I hear Marshall tell Liam over the music.
I walk into the small but roomy area where Marshall plays his music and keeps all the skates.
I look up and down the toes and rows of skates to find mine.
"Emily!!" I hear a girl squeal and i turn around to see Kaitlinn running over to me.
"Kaitie!!" I get off the floor and hug her.
"I haven't seen you since you left for Florida! You'll have to tell me everything after the party. Promise?" Kaitlinn sticks her pinky out and i wrap mine around it.
"Promise." I smile and hug her again.
"Your skate are in your locker, remember?" She points to a shelf of lockers.
"Sorry. I haven't been here in a long time." I let out a slim laugh and walk over to my skate locker.
"Emily babe, i need some skates if you want me to skate with you." Liam rests his chin on my head as i unlock my locker.
"Okay. What size? And out your shoes in my locker." Liam tells me his size after I get my skates on.
"Here you go." I hand Liam his skates and turn around to go out on the floor.
"Emily? Where are you going?"
"To skate of course. Why?"
"I need help getting up." Liam scoots a little farther off the bench.
I grab his hands and pull him up to his feet.
"Oh wow." I gaze at Liam.
"What?"
"You're really tall. Like, really really tall."
"Nah. You're just short." Liam winks at me and i let go of his hand.
"Now, pick up your foot and push it down and back. Like this." I demonstrate how to skate and Liam tries.
"That's...okay. Now repeat the step with the over foot." I demonstrate again only with my left foot.
"Like this?" Liam lets go of my hands and tries on his own.
"Yeah! You've got it! But the floor out here is a little slicker than this. But there's railing so it's okay." I roll out onto the floor and spin around.
"I think I can do this." Liam watches his feet and goes a little faster.
"Liam.."
"What?" He looks up and stops.
"Keep going. But look at me, look up. Not down at the floor."
"Okay." He looks up at me and pushes off again.
"There you go. You're getting it. Now you just have to go faster. Like this kinda." i spin back around just as Kaitlinn and Courtney come around the corner, arms hooked, and Courtney hooks mine.
"Whoo hoo!" Kaitlinn screams and we all laugh.
"Guys, ill skate with you later. I'm helping Liam." Courtney lets my arm go.
"Okay. But when Harry, Zayn, Louis, Niall, Josh, Mitchell, well..all of the boys get here, they're gonna play pool."
"Okay. Thanks, I'll let Liam know..."
I turn back around and head for Liam.
"When the boys get here they're gonna shoot some pool." I inform him and he nods.
"Good. I don't like this skating crap."
"Well you're luck you don't have to do this any more." I smile and Liam turns around.
"Go on and have fun Ethan your friends. But, Niall is gonna be playing to i think."
"Okay. Love you."
"I love you too." I let his hand go and watch him trip his way off the floor.
"Let's get this party started!" Kaitlinn shouts and all of us girls scream.
