A/N: Hi guys~ So I'm uploading a special filler now, because I have exams next week so I can't upload this Saturday. It'll stray slightly from the original plot line, and it won't be from Dalia's POV.

Anyway~ Here we go! :)

~

Raverse Town was bustling, as always. It was funny, how lively it could be at day when the real dangers lurked at night. Perhaps the people want to live life to the fullest? Maybe. Raverse was always notorious for the thieves and kidnappers that come out once the sun sets.

He sighs and pulls his hood on firmly. He hated how the sun would try to blind his already fragile eyes, and how people would stare at him when he wore his hood down.

It wasn't his fault that he was born like this. That's how he is. It's what makes him stand out. And he has always been fine with it.

That's the disadvantage of this place, he thinks bitterly as a mother and a child pass by. The child looks at him for a fleeting moment, and he glares back. The child whimpers under his hostile gaze and runs to the mother. People here are so unchanging. They think their normal is the world's normal. When someone foreign moves here, they whisper about him and isolate him. They don't accept him just because he looks different, or comes from the outside. The people here are unbearable.

But it had to be done. He had ventured to this wretched town to look for a person dear to him. He endured all the whispers he heard about a boy who is...different. He endured all the rumors...for her.

Her.

He clenches his fists as he approaches the central fountain. Its porcelain beauty is squat to him; it isn't as beautiful as her. Nothing is as beautiful as her.

And when he sees her pass by, he has to agree.

Her hair is the same, messy style it was, and her eyes shine with the same genuine curiosity and unassuming timidity. Her smile is as joyous and vibrant as ever. Why, she wears the clothes he gave her...

But, what's this?

Something's...not right...

Who is that she's with?

He eyes her companion, and notices how nice she is to her new friend. He knows that person. He hates that person for taking her away. So why is she with that moron? Did she choose that idiot over him?

Did she...forget about him?

What? No... he chuckles to himself half-heartedly, revealing white teeth and sharper-than-normal canines. Impossible. They're just friends. Just friends. I can allow that.

But he can't stop the fury and envy boiling in his blood. He fights to stay calm, to not cause a scene. The object in his inner jacket pocket is practically screaming for him to take it out; his heart screams for him to stay tame. He must not hurt her; she is precious.

But that person is in the way. How could he get her back when a certain someone was with her? This was going to be hard. He needed to break her companion, no matter the cost; he needed her to be his. He needed to be patient, to wait for the right time to strike. Maybe, just maybe, he could talk to that person? No...wait...

"That's it!" he says loudly, earning stares from passersby. He laughs apologetically and waves his hands before moving back to his thoughts.

That was how he could do it. It was risky, but he had to try. He smiles to himself, resembling a taunting Cheshire Cat. But his plan is more cunning that any creature like that...his plan is foolproof. Risky, and with a lot of hurdles, but foolproof altogether.

"Wait for me," he murmurs, his thin-lipped smile growing. "I'll get you soon, and we'll be together...just like old times...right?"

A/N: Here you go! I actually had fun writing this, but I doubt the time thing. Am I consistent with the present tense writing? :/

Anyway, wish me luck in the exams! :) See you next week, next chapter!

...And 14 days left until Christmas! :))
