On thanksgiving today we celebrate everything we are thankful for, an anniversary of the first european settlers in Canada who were treated to food and taught how to survive here by our native people. We eat, drink and laugh with family and friends, but it is not only today we should feel thankful for our lives. Everday we should remember the little things that we are thankful for. Thankful for not growing up during a war, thankful for having a home, for our luxuries, thankful for our opportunities to learn. People focus so much on what they don't have, it is poisonous to our society. We are fortunate, and while some are more forunate than others, that shouldn't be the focus on what we look at.
