Chapter 19: Taking a Chance (Edited)

Ash and Axl were sitting on the edge of the bed again. Axl was buttoning his shirt while she had her hands on her head, looking down and taking deep breaths. He finishes, looks at her, then puts his arms around her as she cuddles into his chest. Ethan comes in

Ethan: Aww isn't that cute

They look at him

Ethan: I'm getting dinner ready; why don't you come and join Cass in the dining room

They get up and leave the room. They sit at the table. The door bell goes off. Everyone looks at the door as Ethan walks over and looks through the peep hole. It's Ms. Childs

Ethan: Shit

He goes back in the dining room

Ethan: Shit

He grabs Cass and takes her into the basement. Ash and Axl look at each other. He runs over to the door and looks through the peep hole

Axl: Ms. Childs!

Ash's eyes widen as she gets up. He starts banging on the door

Axl: Ms. Childs help!

She doesn't hear him. He looks at the door but doesn't see a knob

Axl: How the fuck do you open this?

Ethan comes out of the basement. Ash quickly looks at him. He looks at her than hears Axl by the door

Ethan: Son of a bitch

He runs over

Ash: Axl he's coming!

Axl looks and gets tackled into the door. The door bell rings again

Axl: MS. CHILD'S!

Ethan wraps both arms around him, getting a good grip on both his arms then starts dragging him out

Axl: MS. CHILD'S!

Ethan: Scream all you want, she can't hear you!

He looks at Ash

Ethan: Ash dont you fucking move

He takes Axl into the basement. Axl continues to scream. Ash had her earrings in her hands so she thinks quickly and sets it one of them ndown by the table leg then stands back up. Ethan comes out and looks at her

Ethan: Are you going to put up a fight to?

She shakes her head then walks over to him while looking down and having her hands clasped together

Ethan: Go on

She goes into the basement. He stares her down and goes in. She puts the earring in the toolbox and goes over to the pole before Ethan notices. He cuffs her hands to it

Ethan: If any of you make a sound, I will kill her then all of you. Do I make myself clear?

They all nod. The door bell goes off once again. He leaves, closing and locking the door. He fixes himself up while going over to the front door then opening it

Ethan: Hi; can I help you?

Ms. Childs: Hi I know it's late and everything but I was wondering if you heard from your neighbor Ash at all? She's one of my students

Ethan: Oh Ms. Childs right?

She smiles

Ms. Childs: So she has talked about me?

Ethan: All the time

Ms. Childs: Same to you Mr. Burks

He smiles
