I was with a few of my buddies when we went to Six Flags Magic Mountain in California. Many people say this is the best park in the whole Six Flags chain. The main ride there (other than X2) is Superman: Escape from Krypton, one of the tallest roller coasters on the planet. You are launched more than 400 feet backwards in the air at 100 miles an hour and pulled pack down by gravity when you reach the top. There is also a racing experience as there is another car that is on a separate track next to yours. We were about to leave when we decided to watch the ride. It launched as normal, however I did notice the left side launch a little faster, but thought nothing of it. The cars went up the vertical track and the right side lost its momentum, as it should. But the left side kept going...and going....until the car flew off the end of the track. The car fell back to earth onto the concrete walkway, leaving no survivors.
