I yawned, my legs tangled between Gabi's longer ones. I moved slightly, looking up at the glassmaker's child.

"Good morning, Sleepyhead." Gabi giggled, standing up with me in her arms.

"Mmm, Gabi...." I whined, still groggy from waking up. I was never a morning person.

"Hurry up and get dressed with your Psycho Mantis powers." She said, making me squint my eyes her with confusion.

"I thought you didn't know about my powers?"

She stopped, fiddling her transparent fingers, and biting her lip.

"Well, I might have stalked you for a year or so..." Gabi laughed nervously, making me chuckle.

"Of course you did."

"You should really cover that up, it might get infected." I reached into the pocket of my skirt before putting the small piece of cloth on, pulling out the mask that Chariot gave me.

I put on the mask, "That's better.".

We both jumped, hearing rustling outside of the cave.

"The hell was that?" She asked, worry thick in her voice.

I grabbed the black hunting knife on my night stand, motioning for Gabi to follow me as I walked to the entrance of the cave.

I peeked out of the cave, Gabi close behind. I looked around the corner seeing a red smiley face on the wall.

"Maybe it's one of those freaks who followed you, they watched you sleep the other day... Should we finish them?" Sarah whispered. I brushed her off, walking around the corner.

"Gah!"

A hand wrapped around my neck, pulling me around the corner, and pushing me against the outside wall of the cave. My head hit the rock, making me feel like I had a cold; warm blood slowly running down the back of my neck.

A knife was pressed into my stomach, my mind suddenly going crazy. The knife that was previously in my hand, floating in the air with the tip pointed at his head.

I got a good look at him. He had raven black hair, wearing a white mask with black eyes and bloody smile. The boy wore black pants, gloves, and a blue coat with a smiley face pin.

"Heather!" Gabi yelled, distracting him.

I grabbed the knife, pushing him onto the ground, straddling his waist as I pinned him to the ground.

"Hey!"

Gabi ran into the woods, seeming to be chasing something or someone.

I brushed her off, looking down at the boy who attacked me, noticing that his mask fell off.

I pulled away, "What....? Holy sh-".

"Heather?"

My body shook, tears coming to my eyes. I was remembering something that I never wanted to remember.

"Heather, please-" I scooted away, curling into a ball.

"Leave me alone, Helen..."

Just before my sister passed, I was friends with Helen. I always admired his artwork; always encouraging him, talking with him when he was alone, and sticking up for him when I could.

I tried to stop thinking about it but, my mind continued to work.

I walked up the stairs, Helen's notebook in hand.

I had been looking for Helen, I hadn't seen him in a while, since I went I vacation with my little sis.

I opened the door, to see Helen leaning over and looking at the ground.

"Hey, Helen! What are you look-"  My voice faltered as I looked at the dead body, blood splattered everywhere.

"Heather, I can explain! W-we were fighting a-and he fell! I t-tried...!" Helen looked at me with wide eyes, my mind jumping to the most horrible explanations. I flinched as he tried to grab my hand, making me drop his notebook on the concrete. "Don't touch me!" I screamed, scratching my arm furiously, blood and skin getting under my nails.

My body moved on its own, making me bolt to the door. He grabbed me, slamming me against the metal door. "Heather! Listen to me!" I squirmed, his grip tight on my wrists. "Get away! Let me go!" I wailed, my blue eyes brimming with tears. My eyes widened, feeling his cold lips pressed against mine. His hand cradled the back of my head, his nimble fingers tangled in my hair. I coughed, his hand wrapping around my neck, his grip getting tighter.

I pushed him off, before running out the door and down the stairs, almost falling.

I ran home, ignoring everyone on the way in, and laying on my bed. I twitched, scratching my arm again. My phone buzzed, it was a text from.

"Hey, Heather. Sorry about a while ago, I was being weird. I look forward to to seeing you! :)"

The smile at the end was unsettling, making me want to curl up in a ball and die.

My eyes widened as a rag was held over my mouth and nose, the smell making my head fuzzy. I kicked and screamed, my consciousness slipping away.

"Sweet dreams, Princess."

I stopped myself, not wanting to remember again. I flinched, feeling him sit next to me, feeling his hand gently rubbing my back gently.

"Don't fucking touch me!" I yelled through the surgical mask. "2 years, Helen! You held me hostage for 2 damn years!" He pushed me to the ground, grabbing my hair and holding me down.

"You made me do it! You were so nice to me, even when everyone else wasn't! You-"

A loud cracking noise was heard, followed by Helen's limp body falling on top of me.

"Are you okay?" I looked up, seeing Toby holding out his hand for me. "I'm fine." I said, taking his hand. "What's this?" He reached for my mask, making me pull away. I don't want him to see me like this.

"I-I'll tell you later, follow me." He grab my hand. "Are you sure you're okay?" I nodded, a tinge of guilt in my voice.

"Alright..."

I grabbed his hand, feeling his warmth through his gloves. "Heather!" My head snapped to the left, seeing Gabi stopped mid-run.

"Sorry, Gabi." I put her down, brushing herself off. "I assume you haven't met Gabi. Toby this is Gabi." I said, as they shook hands.

"Hey! Follow me."

"Where are we going?"

"Slender Mansion."
