I sighed, sitting at the edge of the water, holding my legs to my body as my toes dipped into the water.
I looked up at the gloomy sky, thinking about Sara and how she hadn't appeared in a while, Gabi and where she had gone...
As I was so deep in thought, I had failed to realize Toby was sitting right behind me until his arms were around me.
"H-Hey." I jumped, slowly leaning into his touch. "I t-thought I was-s the one whose s-supposed to st-stutter..." He spoke, his voice getting softer as he buried his face in my neck. He took a deep breath, making me quiver. Why am I so sensitive around him?
"Still s-stealing my jack-et, huh?" He chuckled lowly. "I never stopped. I still have that grey I 'borrowed' from you." I smiled, remembering all the times I hung out with Toby after school.
"Do you th-thi-think I could have it-t-t back?" "His arms pulled me closer to his bare chest. I shivered, "Maybe..."
His hand went to the zipper; just above my chest. A shaky breath drew from me as I placed my hand on top of his.
Toby picked up his head, both of us interlocking eyes. There was a small glint in them, asking for permission.
I whispered, "Yes."
"Are y-you sure?"
I don't think he's asking for his jacket back anymore.
I turned my body to face him, sitting in his lap and using my hands to steady myself on his shoulders. His eyes searched mine, his hand reaching up to my damaged cheek.
I pulled away only to have his other hand hold my head still. His touch calmed me, gently caressing just under the wound.
"When?" He asked. "Four days ago..." He looked at me with those caring eyes of his, then leaned in.
Our bodies pressed against one another, as we kissed. Toby's hand once again reached for the zipper, slowly feeling his warmth touch my bare skin.
The cloth opened, revealing my dark red underwear. Toby ran his hands up my sides, my breath hitched as I pulled away for a second. He took this opportunity to place small kisses on my neck.
"Toby, I..." My hand pressed against his chest the other loosely hung around his neck. His hands fiddled with the back of my bra, almost unlatching it when.....
"Get a room, you freaks!"
We jumped at the sudden voice, both pulling away from each other and looking in the direction of the interruption.
Toby stood, pulling me behind him. I looked at the boy in front of him.
Was he wearing a... costume?
The blood from his eyes dripped onto his green tunic, his green hat resting atop his golden hair that was covering his pointed ears. He was also wearing white tights under it.
He chuckled, walking forward, ruffling leaves with his brown boots.
He stared at me with black and red eyes, eyeing my form. I crossed my arms, glaring at him from behind Toby.
"Feisty girl you got there and she's pretty too." He snickered, winking at me.
Toby growled, "B-Ben! W-what are y-you doing h-here?!". "No reason. Oh yeah, I remember! Your girl seems to have a bounty on her head." Ben said, suddenly appearing behind me and whispered in my ear.
"And I'm here to claim it."
He grabbed my wrist, pulling me back with inhuman strength, wrapping an arm around my waist and holding me securely.
Toby spun around hearing me struggle, grabbing his hatchet from the ground.
"Ah! Ah! Ah!" Ben scoffed, pressing a small blade to my neck. "Why ruin the fun so soon?"
"Let go of my friend, asshole!" His head snapped in the direction of the voice. "Gabi?! What are you doing here?!" Ben growled, staring at Gabi, who just suddenly emerged from the surrounding trees.
"Get your hands off of her, before I whoop your ass!" Two glowing pentagrams appeared just below the tips of her fingers, staring him down.
Ben let go of me, Gabi then pulling me towards her. "Next time I see you even come close to Heather, I will fucking kill you!" She yelled, letting me behind her. "Okay! Okay! I'm sorry Gabi..." and he disappeared without a trace.
Toby ran to me, holding me tightly. "A-a-are you ok-kay?" I nodded, hugging him back. I looked over, seeing Gabi stifling a giggle.
"Alright, lovebirds. Get dressed and use protection!"
God damn it, Gabi.
.
.
I pulled my shirt up to my waist, Gabi watching me as she sat on the bed. I looked over to her, "What?"
"So... You and Toby... Are you guys a thing now?" She asked, following me as walked out the cave.
I straightened my mask, "I mean... Yeah, I guess." Gabi smiled, pulling me into a tight hug. "Awwww! My little Heather is growing up!"
I laughed, pushing her off of me. "You still haven't answered my question. Where did you go the other day?"
"Some fuckin' shadowy ghost bitch was stalking us. I was going to banish her back to the spirit world, but she disappeared before I could do anything." She paused to catch her breath.
"Then I ran into Ben, which you met him, and... Ugh!" She threw her hands in the air, covering her eyes in exhaustion.
"And what this about a bounty on my head?" I asked, earning another sigh from Gabi. "That tall, creepy slender dude wants you in his crew. If you've noticed his little spies are everywhere."
I rolled my eyes, that is the last thing I need right now. "Maybe we should get him back for what he did to us." Sarah spoke as I completely ignored her.
"What are w-we g-g-gonna do?" Toby asked, leaning against a tree that was nearby.
Gabi sighed, "First off, I'm killing Ben then I don't know..."
(A/N: Oml guess who's back! I know it's been a while but hey it happens. Anyways, I'll try to update this more when I have time. Thanks, guys!)
