???'s POV

I sit crouched behind a tree on a ridge looking down at the path before me. I look to my men once I notice someone coming down the path and they know what to do. They rush forward yelling battle cries that can be heard from all angles. Birds fly from trees while rabbits scurry to their homes. I aim at the first mans horse and take my shot. As always the bolt hits exactly where I wish and the man which is now seen as a knight tumbles off the horse knocking himself unconscious. The other man is held back as he attempts to see his friend.

"Let me tend to him!" The Knights yells concern and fear written all over his features as he struggles against my men's grip.

"Why would I do that?" I say jumping down from my place on the ridge. I examine our prisoner and notice the all too familiar deep purple cape of the kingdom Ithel. My kingdom. The man looks up at me and immediately recognizes me.

"My lady, we have been searching for you for ages. Please release me let me tend to sir Anthony's wounds." He says looking at me with pleading eyes.

"Fine, let him help his friend. Provide him with anything he needs and give them food."

"Why are we letting this noblemen go!?" The word spit out full of disgust.

"Do not question me! You heard what I said! Get them food, now!"

"Alright" the man says backing up slowly.

"We need to talk." I say looking back at the knight kneeling by his friend.

"Yes, Lady Olivia, we do."

Merlin's POV

Sir Tyler explains to me solemnly what had happened to his kingdom. I really do wish to believe him but I don't remember any of this nothing has come back.

"Remember anything, sire?" Tyler says looking at me quizzically, I seemed to have drifted off as he explained the scenario, but not into sleep.

"No, and please just call me Merlin"

"Sorry, my lor- I mean Merlin" he responds.

"We can try something else but we need Gaius' approval"

"What is your plan?" He asks.

"Well it's a long shot but, magic"

Gaius' POV

"Gaius? Merlin wished to discuss something with you."

"Yes, I will be right there." I respond to Sir Tyler as he turns to enter my chambers again. I follow close behind and see Merlin still sitting on the patients bed. He seems contemplating something.

"Merlin?" I ask, he jumps at my voice.

"Gaius, I didn't remember anything but, I want to try something else it involves magic." Merlin says as if he's unsure.

"Merlin, those types of spells are extremely dangerous. They can cause a lot of neurological damage." I reply a bit taken back by his decision.

"I'm aware of that Gaius that's why I'm consulting with you." He responds.

"Well if you wish to do it we have to find the supplies and you need to find the spell. Try and find the one that can cause the least damage Merlin." I say trying to show my concern.

"I will try, I will call killgarrah maybe he has some idea." He says beginning to stand.

Merlin's POV

I walk out to the clearing to meet killgarrah, as I run I am shouting "O Drakon E mala So Ftengometh Tesd'hup Anankes" my voice deeper than usual. I stand in the clearing for only a few moments before a shadow appears above my head and quickly disappears being replaced by the dragon himself landing in front of me. His beautiful golden eyes look down on me welcomingly and a large grin appears on my face.

"It's good to see you killgarrah." I say to the wise dragon.

"And you young warlock." He replies bowing his head in welcome. "What brings you here?"

"Well I'm looking for a memory spell." I respond rubbing the back of my head waiting for the long lecture that is sure to come on the danger of the spell. But to my surprise nothing comes.

"You've met with the Knights of Ithel I see. " killgarrah says looking curious.

"Indeed, I have. Is what they're saying true?" I ask hoping for an answer that doesn't include riddles.

"Indeed Merlin, it is true. You're the heir to the throne of Ithel and you must take back the kingdom. Although, you have a destiny here as well." He responds,  close enough.

"Why don't I remember any of this, and why didn't you tell me before!?!" I respond more than a little agitated.

"You were hit with a memory spell while escaping the kingdom, you were left confused for days trying to find your way around with your mother. Eventually you settled in Ealdor a place that to you was your home forever." Killgarrah says with a sad expression in his golden eyes.

"Why wasn't I told?!" I respond raising my voice a bit more.

"By the time you were found Merlin, you had already set your course on your destiny. I could not interrupt that destiny Merlin. Until now."

"What makes the difference now." I ask finally calming myself.

"Arthur is the king from here he can go without you. Although you will need to return when you are called upon." He says a very serious tone in the wise dragons voice.

"How do I remember? Do you know a spell?"

"I do, but I will warn you this spell is dangerous Merlin you will be battling with your own mind for days or even months, there is no way of knowing." He says looking at me very seriously and quite concerned.

"Alright, what's the spell?" I ask. The dragon let's out a huff of air sharing his knowledge with me.

"Thank you killgarrah." I say before turning back to Camelot.
