*I'm warning you, I'm not that good with love scenes but I'll try my best.*

*Liyana's POV*

Our lips molded together in a perfect symphony, our chests pressed together letting us feel each others wild heart beats as our misbehaving hearts try to beat their way out of our chests to touch the other. But that soon vanished as soon as I realize that Carter was kissing me in my house. I pushed him away with all my strength. H e was shocked but let go and took several steps backwards. "What do you think your doing?, you can't come in here and do that." I yelled at him. I picked up the knife that I had dropped and the look on his face almost made me laughed.  I held the knife in front of me and started walking forward, Carter looked at me and then walked backwards saying, "Lee I just want to talk." I continue walking forward and he continue walking backwards, then I stopped and said, "Wait in the living room I'll be back." I went around him and went to the kitchen and stuck the knife back in its holder. I stood at the sink and drew out beep breaths. I walked silently to the stairs and saw Carter sitting with his head in his hands. I walked up to my room and walked to the dresser sitting nest to the closet door. I pulled out the folder of papers and found what I was looking for. I figured that I might as well tell Carter the truth. I went back downstairs and Carter was still in the same position he was. I looked at him and took in his features. He looked more. He had grown from the boy toy I knew in high school to this grown mature and devilishly handsome man. I walked over to the opposite couch and he looked up as I sat down. Our eyes met and we just stared until I looked away but I could still feel his eyes on me. I looked back at him and said, "Why are you here Carter?" He looked at me and then he said, "You left your purse at the hospital. And we need to talk." I looked at him in shocked and confusion. He must've seen the emotions in my face because he held up his hands and said, "Lee calm down. I only wanna talk and besides if your getting scared that I looked in your purse, don't worry I didn't. Okay?" I slowly nodded and then he continued talking.

*Carter's POV*

When she nodded her head that she understood I continued, "Lee why did you run?" She just sat there with a sad look on her face. I didn't wanna pushed her so I just sat there and looked at her. She looked like she was battling with herself. She looked at me and what she said next made my blood boil. "I didn't have a choice." I looked at her and asked "What do you mean you didn't have a choice?" I didn't force you to go away, I didn't force you to do anything. All I wanted was for you to be safe." I could tell that she was on the verge of tears, I was about to say something else when she suddenly snapped at "Me? Be safe? You broke us up and that left me with no choice. You broke my heart when you knew that we had plans. YOU LEFT ME NO CHOICE" she suddenly yelled at me. I jumped to my feet and yelled back, "IT DIDN"T MEAN YOU HAD TO LEAVE. I DID IT TO PROTECT YOU AND YOUR FAMILY FROM GETTING HURT? I DIDN'T WANT TO DO IT, BUT I HAD TO BECAUSE I DIDN'T WANT YOUR HEART TO GET BROKEN EVEN THOUGH I KNEW I HAVE." She looked defeated and sat back down. I paced frustrated then I turned back at her and asked her what I've never gotten the answer to: "Lee, why did you really leave?" She took deep breaths then gave me a pice of paper without saying anything. I took the paper from her and looked at her before opening the paper. What I saw almost gave me a heart attack. The paper was a check of $1.5 million, it was made out to Liyana, but the name of the person signing the check made my blood boil. It was my mothers name.

I looked at Liyana and walked over to her and wrapped her in my arms. She leaned in on me cried. I pulled her closer and we stayed that way until she started pulling away. I didn't want to let her go but I also didn't want to make uncomfortable so I let her go. "I'm so sorry baby, I didn't know my mom did that. If I had known I would've fought for you but I couldn't do anything. they threaten to take away your dads hotel and make sure that you wouldn't get accepted into any colleges. I had to protect you, it was why I had to break us up. Baby, I didn't wanna break us up but I wanted to protect you from being heartbroken."  She looks at me and said, "Carter she gave me that two days before you broke us up. She said some things that I never forget but its in the past and I don't hold any grudges. I'm happy and even though it will never be the same again but you have to know." I looked at her and asked, "She gave it to you two days before we broke up?" I felt anger and jumped to my feet and yelled out in frustration, "AND YOU DIDN'T BOTHER TO TELL ME? YOU KNEW THAT YOUR EVERYTHING TO ME, YET YOU DIDN'T BOTHER TO TELL ME THAT MY MOTHER GOT TO YOU FIRST?" She just sat there and looked at her hands. I sat back down and held her hands and said, "Baby I'm sorry. I didn't want it to happen but it did. It took everything I had to control myself today when I saw you in Lana's room after 5 years." I lifted my right hand and lift her chin up and looked her in the eyes and said,"Lee, you've grown more and more beautiful. Where have you been hiding all these years?" I leaned slowly but she moved backwards and said, "Carter you need to know why I've been away." I let go of her and she stood up and walked to the window. She turned around after a few minute walked over to the couch, grabbed her purse and took out her wallet. I looked at her in confusion but she keeps on looking through her wallet until finally she took something out. It looked like a picture but she didn't give it to me.  I sat there in confusion not knowing what to do. She walked over to the couch and said "Carter please, don't interrupt or do anything. Just listen." Her voice was breaking and all I wanted to do was wrap her in my arms and wiped away her tears. But I just nodded and then she began talking.
