These girls and occasionally a couple guys work their buts off. Guard is hard. They are almost always running across the field. Usually while doing choreography and spinning something. I know our guard is hardcore. From intense Zumba workouts, to doing push-ups every time they drop something. If the guard isn't good it bring the whole band down. They have to know their entire show. They can't just not do their choreography, while we can take a break from playing every once in a while. No. They have to know and perform everything, because everything they do is a visual statement. So props to the brave souls who join guard. I applaud you.
