Tomorrow When I Say Goodbye
When you smile,
I don't believe you.When we kiss,
You don't understand the cells that your lips touch won't exist soon. You hear nonsense in your ears.
You're imagining it's beautiful, aren't you?
When you think I have a beautiful mind
And you think my words should be too. When I sit by the ocean
And I see the whole world,
I want to drown in that world—
Not just put my feet in the sand. When we kiss,
You don't understand,
I want the floor to drop.
To see nothing but black and blue. You see a boy who wants to die.
You're imagining you could save him
But no, I've waited too long to hold on to you. When you're still dreaming of us
I'll walk through the door.Tomorrow when I say goodbye
I beg you not to cry
For the boy who was meant to die.Inspired by Raughy's novel, "November 1st".
