Chapter 11 - Caught In The Act

Hunter's POV

Guilt.

That's all I felt.

I looked into the green eyes I've grown to love so much and all I felt was guilt.

No one breathed. No one moved. It was dead silent.

But before I knew it Spencer lunged at Liam and tackled him to the ground.

"Spencer!" I yelled.

He punched Liam in the face and all I could do was watch.

Liam had enough and shoved Spencer off of him.

"What the hell man!!!?" Liam screamed.

"Liam what are you doing here, with her?!?!" Spencer replied.

"I brought her home after she got attacked in the bathroom! I was there to save her. Unlike you, her so called 'friend'!" He spat.

Spencer stood there wide eyed and looked at me. I saw sorrow and anger in those orbs before but now all I saw was guilt.

"T-thank you...for um helping her." Spencer muttered.

I was taken aback and so was Liam. Spencer was stubborn and egotistical. Him thanking Liam was a big deal.

"No problem man." Liam replied.

It was quite once again. Then Spencer looked once again at me and Liam, then back at the bed we were previously laying on. His green eyes darkened.

"Although you saved her that does not does not give you the right to come into MY house, seduce MY guest, in one of MY rooms!" His voice began to raise with each word.

Liam stood his ground but his eyes showed fear. Spencer stepped forward so he was face to face with Liam.

"So leave." He grumbled.

Liam gulped. He looked at me and nodded. I waved and watched him leave. I heard the front door close and his car take off down the road.

Spencer looked at me once again and said nothing.

I fiddled with my shirt waiting for him to say something.

Why?" He broke the silence.

"Why what?" I asked more than a little lost.

"Why did you bring him here and..." He couldn't even finish the sentence. But I knew exactly what he meant.

"I....don't...I'm not...UHG!!!" I scream in frustration.

"You wanna know why I did it." I muttered.

He looked at me with confusion but reluctantly nodded.

"Because I wanted to." I said with confidence.

He looked shocked and quite sad.

"You've been treating me like a child since you met me. Then you kiss me with so much passion I could barely walk, then you act like it never happened." I sigh.

His face softened but he still said nothing.

"Then this attractive, sweet, available guy comes along and I had no reason not to." I continued.

As usual silence engulfed us.

"Me." He whispered.

"What about you?" I ask.

"I could've been your reason not to." He sighed.

"You could've been. But not when you play me. I'm independent and strong. I will not play this cat and mouse game with you." I say bravely.

Boys are hardly ever an important factor in my life and somehow I was stuck in this mess right now.

"You so different." He laughed to himself.

"How?" I asked.

"You don't care what others think. Your so strong and unique. Very few humans can obtain that. But you do." He says baffling me.

He looked at me with a small smile and I couldn't help but smile back.

He stepped forward so I had to look up at him.

"I'm sorry Hunter." He sighed.

"It's okay." I reply.

He leaned down and placed the softest kiss on my forehead.

"You make me feel things." He whispered.

"Good things?" I ask.

"I'm not sure yet." He honestly replies.

I nod.

Spencer leads me to the bed and lays down next to me. He drapes his arms across me.

"Goodnight love." He whispers.

"Night Spence." I smile.

Darkness consuming me.

Liam's POV

How?

How can she be?

She's only human.

That's not possible.

Stupid Spencer ruining our moment. And kicking me out.

But he doesn't know.

She doesn't know.

Only I know.

I'm going to tell her next time I see her.

I'm going to tell Hunter that she's my mate.
