Hunter's POV

Impossible.

This can't be.

Mom isn't dead. My dad isn't in the hospital. My house didn't burn down.

It can't be true.

I only stared at the tv watching them carry out a body bag that held my mothers dead body.

"No.." I cried out in a whisper.

Everyone just looked at me. Liam and Spencer held worry in their eyes. Stronger than the rest.

"No." I said again.

No one spoke.

"It's not happening. It's not real." I said firmly.

"This is real." Spencer said.

I looked at him and it woke me up.

"She's dead?" I asked almost pleading for an answer.

"Yes." Spencer breathed.

"I'm so sorry." Liam spoke.

I looked up. I saw all of their faces. All of them with pity. Even Avery showed sympathy for me.

"I have to go." I say.

"Go where?" Keeley asked.

"To my dad." I state.

"Let us go with you." Piper said.

I didn't give her a response. I just grabbed a random pair of keys and walked outside. I clicked the unlock button and saw the keys were to a silver jeep Cherokee. I hopped in and started the car.

The ride took about 10 minutes to the hospital. My mind was set into overdrive. All I could think about was my dad. So when I finally arrived I basically jumped out of the car and ran to the front desk.

"Who are you visiting miss?" The young secretary asks me while popping her gum annoyingly.

"Kyle Edwards." I say quickly. She types in the name and once again pops her gum.

"He's in surgery right now, he won't be allowed visitors till morning. I look at my watch and see that it's only 7pm.

"Thank you." I say and walk to the damn waiting room. I go to grab my phone to only see I left it at home.

Home.

It hit me all at once. I no longer had a home. No family. Both my parents were only children, and my last grandparent died last year. I didn't know of any other family. I was homeless.

"What am I gonna do?" I ask to no one in particular. I didn't realize I was crying until I felt a tear hit my hand. That's when I began to sob. Tears escaped my eyes like a waterfall.

Then I suddenly felt someone grab me and pull me into a hug. I knew who it was before they even said anything.

"I'm here for you." Spencer whispers.

"Thank you." I whisper back almost making my voice crack. He let go two seconds before everyone else came bursting in.

"My love are you okay?" Liam said sweeping me in his arms. His hug alone made me at ease.

"No." I answered truthfully. He squeezed me tighter. We just stood there in each other's embrace. Until someone cleared their throat. I looked up to see a male doctor well over 40.
