(John's POV)
Sherlock is in his room thinking like he has been since we came back from the trip in the TARDIS. Molly is reading a book like she does when Sherlock has been a bit rough that day. The Doctor is in the TARDIS. It feels as if everyone is hiding something. Well today I'm getting some answers. I knock on the TARDIS door and walk in.
"Doctor?"
The Doctor walks out from behind the console. Before I can change my mind, I just go for it.
"You know what's going on, don't you?"
He made a confused face to cover.
"Look. Ever since we found the guns you and Sherlock have acted differently. Someone trying to come after Molly is just a cover up for what's really going on. I found a day marked in Sherlock's calendar and as the day gets closer you and Sherlock have detached yourselves. Sherlock more so but that's not my point."
The Doctor looked like a kid caught in a lie but said nothing.
"Tell me what's really going on. I'm not that stupid. I can take a guess as to what 'MH' and 'JW' means." The Doctor took a moment to answer.
"I can't say."
"Why?"
"Because! Time and history is a very delicate thing!" He said obviously upset.
"What's the point of this thing then?! If you can't help prevent things, then what's the point?" I said gesturing to the rest of the TARDIS.
The Doctor looked sad and angry. I'd struck a chord.
"When you live to be as old as I am, see things I have, when you become a Time Lord, then you have the right to make accusations like that!" He took a deep breath. "Time is all wibbly wobbly. It can bend into any shape. But there are things called fixed points. Where that has to happen there. You can't change it... I've tried. One person isn't meant to hold all that power..."
I looked down a bit embarrassed by my outburst. "I'm sorry."
The Doctor looked up at me."Me too." I left the TARDIS feeling hopeless and failure.
Molly's in Sherlock's chair.
I sit across from her in my chair.
"Molly. What happened that night at the restaurant? What part did you leave out?"
Molly sighed as she put down her book. "It's not that I left it out. I .... Just didn't remember till later, nobody asked and it didn't seem that important so I didn't mention anything. And then Sherlock started acting differently."
"Right. Well I'm asking now." I said delicately not sure how she felt about the subject.
"Sebastian said my time was coming soon but not by who I think. And to watch my back because Sherlock won't. See? It doesn't mean anything." She said with a dismissive wave of her hand.
"But it made you second guess Sherlock."
Biting her lip, she looked away. "Maybe a bit. But only for a moment. I know Sherlock wouldn't do anything." She said as she brought her eyes back meet mine.
I can see the pain behind her eyes. Less than The Doctors but it's still there.
"I'm sorry you have to go through this, Molly."
Smiling, she replies. "It's an adventure. And adventures can be dangerous."
I smiled at her. She doesn't deserve what Sherlock's put her through.

John knocked on Sherlock's door but didn't wait for an answer before he went in.
"Sherlock." he announced.
Sherlock opened one eye, saw the seriousness in Johns face and opened the other.
"Yes, John?"
"The two guns we found marked 'MH' and 'JW'... I can take a guess what they stand for...."
Sherlock closed his eyes and took a breath.
I continued. "Someone coming after Molly is a cover up for what's really going on. It has to do with that day marked in your calendar which is just a few days away."
He still didn't say anything.
"Here's my thinking. You don't forget anything of importance. But if you marked it, it must be of importance. Subconsciously you wanted someone to find it so you could tell someone."
Sherlock heard John's words and knew he was right.
"Moriarty is going to make me choose. Not just choose but...pull the trigger myself..." Sherlock said not opening his eyes, knowing John would catch on to what He's saying.
There's a silence as what Sherlock said sinks in for John.
"Sherlock..." John paused. "You always find a way out. And I still believe in you." He said trying to help but it didn't make Sherlock feel any better. Sherlock tried desperately to hold tears back. He opened his eyes and looked at John as the tears welled up in his eyes, threatening to spill over.
Seeing Sherlock display such emotion told John he hadn't found a way out. Sherlock blinked the tears back as the moment passed.
"It's not that I don't care John. I've always cared. I just chose not to show it. It helped me detach from the situation but..."
"It's not working this time." John finished for him.
"Sherlock, you still have a few days left. But if the time does come, choose me. Molly has been through enough. You showed her you do care but then retreated into this shell. It didn't help her."
Sherlock closed his eyes and John knew he was done talking.
"For what it's worth which I know isn't much. I'm sorry."
"Thank you John." Sherlock said.
His way of saying it's worth more than you thought.
"Don't tell Molly."
"Then tell her something." John replied and left.

(Molly's POV)
John and The Doctor had decided to try to make dinner together.
Sitting in the living room, I started thinking back on what had happened since the Doctor had come and slightly smiled when I thought about Sherlock punching Moriarty. But the smile quickly fell as I came back to reality.
Sherlock came out if his room and sat in his chair across from me. I just smile because I can't think of anything to say. But Sherlock doesn't let the silence last.
"Molly, I've realized ..I've been hurtful. And I wanted to say I'm sorry."
Seeing him struggle with saying an apology just makes me smile.
"Thank you Sherlock."
That night dinner was less awkward Sherlock didn't smile but he wasn't frowning through the whole meal.
