"So.. what do you think?" Mom asks as she stands in front of me, showing off her new dress she bought. It was honestly gorgeous. It went just a couple inches under her knees. It was all black and made of lace, and the sleeves went down to her elbows.

I smile, "I love it!" For being 37 years old, mom still had a great body. She still works out occasionally, and is a complete health freak. But I had to admit, sometimes her obsession with whole grain foods, and taking plenty of vitamins everyday got a bit annoying.

She walks over to the mirror and takes another look at the dress, adjusting it a bit.

"Well, I guess I'll be back later! Don't forget to check up on Gabe every once in awhile."

I roll my eyes, "I know mom, don't worry."

"Okay, love you! I'll be back around 9 or 10!"

And with that, she walks out the door in her new black lace dress and red pumps on, her hair curled to perfection. She was spending the entire day with her new boyfriend, Evan, and they were going out to some fancy restaurant. Leaving me alone the entire day with a sick Gabe. But he'll be in his room sleeping most of the time, so I was basically alone. Well, except the fact that I still had to meet Niall at the park.

I'm not for sure if I want to go yet though. One part of me is saying 'don't go, it'll just cause trouble' but another part of me if saying 'go, find out what he is going to do.' I think I might go, considering the fact that he invited me. And I'm kind of curious to see what we're actually going to do while we're at the park.

But then again, what if he's in a pissy mood and is being really rude today? If that's the case, I'll come straight back home.

I run upstairs to check on Gabe real quick. I open the door slightly and peek my head in. He's sprawled out under his covers watching tv. He notices my presence and looks over at me, "What are you doing?"

I open the door a bit further, "Mom left for the day with Evan and I'm supposed to check up on you. But I'm about to leave soon so you'll be on you're own."

He coughs before speaking, "Where are you going?"

"Meeting someone at the park." I state, making sure I don't mention any names.

"Oohhh, is it a boy?" He lifts his eyebrows up and down, a smirk planted on his face.

"No, and shut up! You'll be fine by yourself won't you?"

He rolls his eyes in annoyance, "Yes. When did you turn into mom?"

"Just shut up and watch tv," I say and shut the door before walking back to my room. It was already 11 and I still had to get ready.

I walk to my bathroom and quickly straighten my long hair, getting a few of the waves out.

The only makeup I'm probably going to wear is some face powder and mascara. It's not like this was some kind of big occasion or something.

I slide into a pair of skinny jeans and a Beatles t-shirt, then grab my vans. Before I know it, I'm already heading out the door, with my cell phone in hand.

"I'm leaving Gabe!" I yell as I'm walking out the door. The park in our neighborhood was just a little ways down the street. It would take awhile to walk there, so I just decided to take my bike.

I grab my bike from the garage and hop on and start pedaling my way towards the park. On my way there, I noticed what a pretty day it was. There were no clouds to be spotted in the sky, only the beautiful blue color shown. Birds were flying high up, and some were sitting on the tree branches, chirping happily. There was a slight breeze blowing as well. It had to be at least 70° out here.
