I wake up to the sound of my alarm going off. I groan and roll over to turn it off. I hate waking up early. I was never really a morning person, I'm more of a night person.

I check the time and it is 6:30. Yep. Way too early for me. I set my alarm for 6:50. Another 20 minutes of sleeping wouldn't be too bad.

I start to fall back asleep until I hear my mom's voice ring up the stairs, "Rachel, get up!"

I groan once again and force myself to roll out of bed. It felt weird waking up in a new house. But I had to admit that I loved this place more than I thought I actually would.

I force my feet to move towards the bathroom. I take a quick shower, dry myself off and blow dry my hair quickly, then walk downstairs where I found Gabe sitting at the table eating breakfast.

"Come get a waffle hun," mom says as she lays one down on a plate. I grab the plate and drench the waffle in syrup and eat it quickly. I hadn't even realized how hungry I was.

"Jeez, are you hungry or something," Gabe says rudely as I shove the waffle down my throat.

"shut up you little pest," I say as I finish my waffle and glass of water.

"You need to be ready in 30 minutes Rach," mom says as I stand up from the table and make my way back upstairs.

I quickly brush my teeth, straighten my long, almost, but not quite, waist length hair. That was one of the only things I liked about myself was my hair. It was long and blonde, and it was always so soft and shiny.

After I straighten my hair, I put on some face power, light pink eyeshadow, a thin layer of eyeliner on the top, and my favorite mascara.

I slip into a pair of skinny jeans, a grey sweatshirt, and purple vans.

As I get ready to leave, it hits me that I'm going to get registered for school. I really wasn't ready to go. I hate the fact that I won't know anybody there. I'll be known as the weird "new girl". But I'm hoping to overcome my shyness and try to make new friends. And hey, maybe I'll even get a boyfriend.

HA. I make myself laugh. I will never get a boyfriend. I don't come very appealing to the male population. I don't know why. I mean, I'm a nice person and at least the guy would be able to trust me.

But I'm not going to worry about that until tomorrow when I officially start my first day of school.

I grab my cell phone and shove it inside my pocket before walking downstairs, where I find my mom sitting in the living room on her cell phone.

"Where's Gabe?" I ask.

"He'll be down in a minute," she says, her eyes glued to the screen.

Just then, I hear Gabe walk up behind me

"Well it's about time," I say jokingly.

"Let's just get this over with," he says and trudges off and out the door. Sheesh, what was his problem?

'C'mon mom. Get off your phone and let's go,"

"Go on out. I'll be there in a second," she says, still not taking her eyes off the screen.

Wow, she's even more addicted to her cell phone than I am.

I walk out to the car to find Gabe already sitting in the backseat playing on his Gameboy.

I slam the door and put my feet up on the dash and wait for mom to come out. I honestly wasn't in a hurry to get this over with, so she can just take her time because I'm in no rush.

After 5 minutes she still hasn't come out, so I pull out my phone and check all the social medias. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr. Nothing interesting appeals to me, so I slide it back in my pocket as mom finally opens the door and gets in.

"Jeez mom, what took so long?!" I complain to her.

"Just doing a little buisiness, that's all," she says and backs out of the driveway and heads towards school.

We go to the middle school for Gabe first, he is in 7th grade, so we get him registered for that. He didn't look too thrilled, but I don't blame him. I'm just as nervous as he was.

After we leave the middle school, we drive to the high school for me. Me and mom went in while Gabe stayed in the car.  Since it was Tuesday, classes were already going on. As we walk in, I look down the halls. It seemed to be a fairly large school. Oh, wonderful.

We walk to the office, and as soon as we enter, I hear a bell ring and the halls were flooded by swarms of people. TOO many people. I notice people shoving past one another, try to navigate their way to the next class. People were looking at me through the office's glass window. Most of them didn't smile, they just gave me a blank expression and whispered to their friends. I can already tell that I'm going to hate this school.

I get my locker number, and me and mom go to find my locker, I finally find it when I realize that it's upstairs. I notice a punk looking guy a few lockers down from me giving me a quick glance. He didn't look too friendly though. He had thick blonde and brown hair, with a few tattoos going up both arms. He had his ears gaged, and he was wearing a tight plain black t-shirt with black skinny jeans with a pair of supras on. I take in his image as he gives me a disgusted look and finally walks away with his headphones in his ears. Of course he doesn't like me. No guy ever has. But why would I want him to like me anyway? He obviously looked relly mean, and I would want nothing to do him. He wasn't my type of guy to hang out with anyways.

After I put everything I need for tomorrow in my locker, I shut it head out to the car with mom. This was it, I was finally registered for my new school, and I definitely wasn't ready for it yet.
