Amber was awaken by the sounds of the machines shutting down. The doctor looked at Amber with a worried expression. "Your good to go sweetheart." The doctor told her. Amber slowly helped herself up off the bed. She went into the restroom and redressed herself. As Amber pulled her clothes, silent tears started falling down her face. The surgery was over and Amber knew she had to live with this on her conscience she was still in disbelief.
Amber got into the car and grabbed her phone out of her purse. She had so many missed notifications from Aydin. He'd texted her reassuring her that it's going to be okay and he wish he could've been there. That satisfied Amber to know that he cared about her and the fact that she was doing something that frightened her. Amber replied to Aydin's text... "I'm fine." she said. "What happened?" Aydin replied quickly to her. "What you mean what happened?" she replied sort of aggravated. She didn't want to go into detail about it, didn't even want to think about it. "I was put to sleep." She told Aydin. Aydin asked Amber did she want him to come over after he left school. But Amber didn't want the comfort even though she needed it. "No, I'll be okay." She said indecisively. Amber walked through the door of her room and closed it behind her.. Aydin texted her multiple times that day reassuring that she was ok. Amber didn't want to talk about it much any more. She didn't want to get depressed about it any more than what she already was.
The next morning Amber awakened as if she were going to school. Only to remember she couldn't and at that didn't want to. Amber looked at her phone confusingly, noticing a text from Aydin from the night before. She didn't want to keep talking about that. "When you coming back to school?" Aydin asked her. "Idk whenever I feel I'm ready." She replied. "I just can't believe I did this..." She secondly responded.. "Did what?" He asked. "I'm so sad like that's something taken away from me forever" She said. Amber was still in disbelief about what she had done. Her heart was truly broken. Just the thought of it ... We all know the saying "Do what's best for YOU" and "You gotta do what you gotta do" But this was the first, her first child. Her unborn, someone she'd have a completely different bond with that's different from anyone else. Someone she could always hold and comfort when lonely. And it was all gone. She'd never forget that. Really what young teenager would be able to forget about that? Like nothing ever happened. Just gone to waste. It was killing her on the inside but she knew she'd have to get herself together before returning back to school. Even though she was emotionally distressed, drained, mentally and physically broken. She couldn't sit in her depression forever and drown in her tears she had to cope some kind of way.
