Because of the other two stakeouts I've done, I know that between 2-4 is the best time to strike. It's 1:58 and almost every car in the lot has disappeared. I wait for the last two to drive away as well before I get out of my car and walk up to the building.
I quickly glance around, trying to see if there's are any wandering eyes that may be seeing my presence. Once I see that the coast is clear, I grasp onto the brick wall and start to climb up it. Speed, precision, and agility are the three top priorities in mastering Spade. I've conquered worse than a straight up brick wall. I pull myself up the two story building before hurling onto the roof. My steps are light as I walk along the rooftop, my eyes catching the entry point I had picked on my second stakeout.
Treading lightly over to the skylight, I peer in. Adeline sits at her desk, directly beneath the glass, her brown hair tied in a bun and her crimson eyes glued to the papers in front of her. A few bags of cocaine sit to the left of the paper work. Casually. I watch as she taps her black pen against the mahogany desk before she looks up from the papers, her head snapping in front of her. My body pokes over the glass, causing a shadow to fall on her while she slowly directs her eyes to me in fear.
I wave, smirking devilishly before jumping onto the skylight and smashing through. I land on Adeline's desk, standing, giving myself just enough time to kick her in the cheek before I'm pulled off the desk by two pairs of strong arms. Looking to my left and right, I see two of her men, and catch a glimpse of more behind them.
They're dumb enough to leave my feet free, causing me to swing them up and over my head, kicking both men in the nose. As they stumble back, I flip the rest of the way over and out of their hold.
Taking my gun from the belt of my jeans, I shoot the two men who had taken me. As they fall to the ground, three shots are fired at me, all missing. It takes me less than two seconds to have the four men down on the ground. Three more come in the room after hearing the gunshots. Their faces show mortification as they see the six bodies lying on the ground, blood pooling on the floor. They barely get a chance to look at me and point their guns before their eyes glass over, and they drop as well. Three shots sound.
I haven't been here five minutes, and I've killed nine people.
"Rain-" her voice is high and ragged behind me.
"Oh, Adeline," I purr in a condescending tone, turning around slowly, smirking at the pistol in her shaky hands. "Put the gun down."
When she doesn't do what I say, I'm quick to put a hole in her stomach before being grabbed yet again by her men. They realize now to take hold of my feet. Whilst fighting against their hold, one of the four men accidentally hit my lower abdomen, right where they shouldn't have. A small ping resonating.
Freeman had had many brilliant ideas when we worked together in Heart. One of these was to insert a metallic safe in my stomach so that important documents and weapons could be held and concealed without worry. He had taken out my appendix and moved around my internal organs to insert the 7x9 box that currently holds experimental bombs and a spare pistol. The way he hid this was to make an artificial flap of skin that covers over the box and adheres to my natural skin. Once it's smoothed out, it looks and feels completely natural.
"Oh fuck," I breathe, finding the courage to fight back so much harder against them. I look up to see Adeline behind me, escorted out by two more men while I am being carried the opposite way.
This was a set up. They knew I had been watching. They knew I had been interested in this. While I was watching them, they were watching me. She doesn't just keep twenty men around for the sake of it.
The man carrying my right arm trips over one of the bodies on the ground, dropping me and causing the others to fall as well. Once I'm released, I quickly pull up my shirt, revealing the pristine white skin of my stomach. My fingers search for the large flap of loose skin and pull it back. I slide open the small metallic compartment in my abdomen, taking out the small bomb and throwing it toward the pile of men on the ground before running out of the door in search of the exit.
As I make my way back out into the hot Californian air I continue to run toward my car, sliding the compartment door closed and covering it with the skin flap. Just as I reach my car, the building explodes. I throw my hands up and over my head, hitting the ground to cover myself. Debris flies everywhere, some of it even smacking my hands, cutting them. My car alarm goes off as some of the bricks hit the windshield.
But as soon as I have a chance, I slide into the car, quickly assessing that I just have a few small abrasions on my hands. And before I know it, I'm speeding back to my hidden home away from the half blown apart building that once was Adeline Saige's headquarters. But as I drive further down the road, I realize the pain in one of my shoulder is worse than what I believed.
Reaching my hand up to rub the sore area, I feel the thick ooze of blood before feeling the minuscule hole of a bullet wound.
"What the fuck," I grumble as I do a U-turn in the middle of the highway and head back to the AFO.
(So I guess this uploaded but somehow got deleted? I don't know but I put it back up)
