Today I get to see him finally. I haven't seen him in a long time. I hope he still likes how I look now. His wife doesn't stand a chance against me.
I turned to show him.
"How do I look, daddy?"
No, he's not my father. But I call him, Daddy. Robert Gibbs is my fifty-year-old money maker. The wealthiest of the wealthiest. He gives me whatever I want. And I sprinkle him with attention and care. He said he don't want much from me but the comfort I provide. He was lonely when I met him. His wife died awhile back before we got together. After that, we were a pair. He got me a whole new look, and I love it.
"Beautiful," he kissed my cheek. "Now remember Chad is a good friend of mine. Don't start any trouble."
I went back to the mirror and looked at myself one more time.
"I won't."

For the remaining of the day Nathan didn't bother to talk to me. But he did come to check on me from time to time. When he come, he didn't say anything. And I was completely okay with that because I didn't want talk to him.
Plus It would've been awkward because of what husband had done, earlier. And that stunt he tried to pull by saying that I didn't tell him I was married. So I kept myself busy with paperwork and brainstorming ideas for future meetings that I was supposed to complete for the day.
I worked for three hours straight refusing to go on break. So I chose to stay lock in my office and continued working while my coworkers went on breaks. When I was through with everything, I began to get my things to go home.
"Why didn't you go on break?"
Just then Nathan comes into my office without knocking.
So nobody taught him how to knock?
