Griffon's POV

Lucy's opponents waisted no time readying themselves.

"Reequip, Heaven's Wheel Armor!"

"Full Takeover, Satin Soul!"

There power was impressive, but Lucy was leagues above them. This would be over quickly.

"Power level increase, three percent." Lucy said, calmly.

"Circle Sword!" Erza yelled, levitating above the crowd.

"That old trick? Come on Erza. I thought you promised not to hold back?" Lucy yawned.

Without warning, Erza began firing swords at Lucy. With incredible speed and grace, she dodged every one.

"Hruuuahhhhh!" Mira exclaimed, unleashing a fury of punches and kicks.

Once again, Lucy dodged every blow.

"Why don't you finish this already?" I asked in my head.

"I enjoy playing with my prey before I go in for the kill." She responded.

"Why are you just standing there Lucy? Don't tell me you've backed down from our fight already?" Erza mocked.

Lucy smirked.

"You're going to regret that comment, Scarlet." She sneered.

With a flash of speed, Lucy seemingly vanished from her position on the ground, and reappeared behind Erza. With one swift kick, Erza was sent flying into the earth below, before Lucy landed gracefully on the packed dirt.

"Awe, did that hurt? I'm sorry. I'll try to be more gentle next time." Lucy teased, walking towards Erza.

"I think..." Erza started.

"What's that? Do you give up? Well, I may go easy on you if you beg." Lucy interrupted.

"I think you're forgetting about someone." Mirajane finished.

She had flown high above Lucy, and was aiming a large ball of magical energy at her head.

"Evil Explosion!" Mirajane yelled.

The large sphere of swirling darkness raced towards Lucy. She made no attempt to block or dodge. She was going to face it head on.

"What are you doing?!" I exclaimed.

"Even you can't walk away from a blow like that!"

"Shhh. You're going to break my concentration." She warned, slowing time and allowing for our conversation.

In the blink of an eye, time resumed, and Lucy caught the dark spell with her bare hand. She pinched her fingers together, extinguishing the darkness. Surprise was mirrored on the faces of everyone watching, including myself.

"H-how in Earthland did you..."

Mira was cut off by Lucy, leaping into the air, and kicking her square in the stomach. The white haired mage landed near Erza, and the fight ended. Lucy landed on her feet, brushed the dirt off of her clothes, and walked towards me. A mixture of astonishment and admiration spread through my body.

"How did you do that?" I asked, still in awe.

"Later. Right now, we need to complete our objective." She replied, reminding me of our task.

"Of corse. Let's go find the master and share our news with him." I said, falling back into my roll as handler.

As we headed for the guild hall, the crowd of shocked spectators moved aside, some out of respect, others out of fear. One however, remained.

"What do you want, Dragneel?" Lucy spat.

"You cheated!" He yelled.

"Excuse me?" Lucy asked.

"There is no way you could've beaten Erza or Mira! And the way you made Mira's spell disappear? You must have cheated!"

I cut off Lucy's response with a gently placed hand on her shoulder.

"He's not worth your time. I know you won fair and square. Who cares what everyone else thinks." I said.

Lucy began to calm down, and she offered me a small smile.

"Mind your own business, Pretty boy!" Natsu yelled.

I put my arm around Lucy protectively, and started walking in the direction of the guild hall.

"Oye! I'm talking to you!" Natsu shouted, stepping in front of us.

Casually and much to his surprise, I teleported the fire mage behind us, and continued walking.

"Thank you." Lucy said.

"What are friends for?"
