Reader's pov.
The bell rings and I rush out of my college ignoring the yell of my friends and he on my motorbike. I put on my helmet and yell goodbye before heading off to the library that I go to every day to read. I made a small stop at a starbucks to grab a small coffee to have with my reading time, heading out of the starbucks I put my cup where it will be safe and head to the library. While on my way there I spot many happy families. Stopping at a red light I turn my head to see a family of a boy,a little girl, and a woman. I sigh sadly because they probably don't have a dad like I didn't. I grew up with my older brother (b/n) and my mom. My dad died when I was 3 and they were divorced at the time so neither of us really knew him. I smile sadly and turn my head back to the light just it time for it to turn green. Starting towards the library once more I take a turn and park across the street from the door. I take out the keys and stick them in my satchel I carry around all the time. I take off my helmet and release my (h/l) (h/c) hair from it,but I sit down on my bike for a few minutes thinking about the family I saw. Shaking my head to get rid of the thought I sigh and I go to the crosswalk standing next to a man wearing a grey hoodie. After the light indicated that we could cross he went to the right and I went forward towards the library. Going up the stairs leading to the front door I open it up by pulling it and walking through. Walking swiftly to the sci-fi section and pulling out the next book to my favorite series while waving silently at the worker organizing books. We talk sometimes, but not much. His boss doesn't give him many breaks,so I usually just read and let him work. His glasses shone when he spotted me and smiled towards me giving me a small wave. I smile softly and head to my normal spot as I wait for him to ask for a break. Luckily he walks over to me and sit down, then looks to my coffee."Hey friend," he says smiling brightly my way. Yep, that's Ryan always bright and cheery.
"What's been goin' on?"I ask and take a sip of my coffee earning a strange face.
"I thought you don't drink coffee, yet every time your here you have a cup," he says tilting his head like a confused puppy.
I could feel the blush sprinkle into my face before clearing my throat and asking "is that really worth questioning?"
He looks into my eyes and smiles "well you always have coffee when you read a book, why?"
"Well the book warms up my mind, and the coffee warms up my heart," I say smiling staring back into his eyes.
I silently get up and walk over to him. I lean down to be face to face with him and I kiss his nose earning a blush swiftly move to his face. Smiling goofily I giggle and lean back upwards.
"I'd like to go on a day with you on Saturday at 7..hmm..at the Starbucks near my college," I say childishly.
"R-really?," he asks shocked
"Well if you don't show up I'll know the answer," I say smiling.
"Okay, I'll see you there," he says and waves as I leave with the book I checked out.
