Cat's pov.
Me and my friend Kiara watched the other people competing against us. When the person playing before us finishes and starts to leave the stage Kiara nudges me with her guitar and starts to walk to the stool they had placed for the others. She started to tinker with her guitar while waiting for me to come on stage. I hesitantly walk on stage and adjust the microphone to my liking. By the time I finished Kiara was done with her stuff. I take a deep breathe and start to sing.

We finish singing and everyone claps for us. I see Kiara smile and look around the crowd before nudging me and heading off the stage. After a few more contestants the talent show finally finishes and we stand in line waiting for the winners to be called.
"3rd place Kooky and Shyla," the announcer hands the award to the two people and shakes their hands "2nd place Marie," she does the same and everybody stands on edge for the winners. "1st place Cat and Kiara," she says and we walk up to get our trophy and shake her hand. "Alright everyone please come back next year for the next talent show and have a safe drive home," she says and shoos us off the stage.
"Kiara we did it," I say holding out the trophy towards her for her to take it.
She pushes it into my chest and says "No, you did it," and smiles at me.
I decide not to argue and put it in my bag and start to pack up my stuff. Kiara lead me through the parking lot to where she said our ride was. We arrive and I see a guy with brown hair a few inches taller then her leaning against the car.
"Hey, dipshit I want a smoothie," Kiara says to the guy and puts her bags in the back seat.
"Too bad asshole I brought beer instead," he said and opens the driver's side.
"Oh you sneaky fuck," Kiara says smiling and opens the back door before motioning for me to get in.
I get in the car and buckle up listening to Kiara and her brother bicker while I doze off.
-TIEM SKIP-
I wake up to see Kiara passed out in her chair and her brother laying on his car. I put my jacket on and get out of the car making him turn his head slightly.
"Finally you wake up c'mere I wanna chat," he says moving over.
"Uh, o-okay," I say and sit criss-cross on the hood of his car.
"Do you normally sing?" He asks.
"Oh n-no, me and Kiara practiced that for monthes," I say nervously.
After a while of talking Tyler got up and walked over to my side. He stuck his hand out and helped me off the hood. I got back in the car and told him my address. The car stopped after a while and I lifted my head to see we were in front of my house. Tyler opens the car door and I step out.
"I had fun tonight," I say making a little small talk as I tighten the grip on my bag.
"Yeah, it was nice, we should hang out again Cat" Tyler says and digs his hand in his pocket.
We get to my door and I look at him. He smiles at me and leans in closer but looks like he decides to hug me instead. He puts something in my hand and says goodbye. I walk into my house and look at my hand reading a small piece of paper with a number on it. I smile to myself and sigh before going to my couch and collapsing on it.
