CHAPTER SEVENTEEN: HALLOWEEN

"Boo!" Spencer shouted after I opened my bathroom door. He was wearing a mask and knowing Spencer, he probably thought it was scary but to me it was stupid. Not to mention that I was standing in a towel. Good thing was, I wasn't drenched in water.

"Get out of my room before I tell Shelly." I walked past Spencer and made my way over to my closet.

Dylan 1, Spencer 0.

"How the hell did this not scare you?" Spencer took off his mask before leaving my room and shutting the door behind him. It's been four months since I moved in here with him, and I still haven't figured that kid out yet.

I went through my closet to look for something cute and comfortable to wear for my job today. I had classes in an hour and then I would go straight to the radio station when I was finished.

My hair was down and had big curls in it and for make up it had black eyeliner and mascara, with pink sparkly eyeshadow and then regular sparkles all around my eyes. I pulled on a pair of jeans with huge holes in them that were covered with cheetah print patches, a black tank top and a grey silvery knitted sweater, for shoes I picked out some grey sparkly platform heels.

I figured out that no one was home when I walked into the kitchen to look for breakfast. Since it was only me and Spencer in the house, I didn't know how that was going to end, so I grabbed my laptop and put it into my bag , walked out of my room, shutting and locking the door behind me and left the house without saying goodbye to Spencer.

I went to Starbucks to take my classes and get breakfast.

By the time my classes were over, I was starving for some lunch.

Liam called me as soon as I walked out of the building.

"Hey,"

"Hey little sis. You want to get some lunch with me? I'm done for the day and totally starving. Do you have to work today?"

"You're lucky I'm in town and I just finished my classes. Gladly, yes. I do work today, but I don't have to be in until three thirty,"

"Cool. So that gives us two hours." Liam was driving his car. "Meet me at RockyRoad's okay?"

"I'll see you there," I hung up the phone and put it back into my bag before climbing into my car.

I parked my car right next to Liam's and he was just getting out of his car.

"Where did you come from? I definitely thought I would be waiting like ten minutes for you." Liam put his arm around my shoulder.

"I came from Starbucks. I had to do my classes there since Spencer was the only one home with me and I needed to get things done."

"What's that kid's problem anyway?"

"Couldn't tell you. He's probably mad that he's not the only kid in the house anymore."

"Dylan, he's twenty one years old. He's not a child anymore." Liam went to mess up my hair but then I could tell that he remembered I had to work soon. "When do you get off work?"

"I should be home by seven, why?"

"There's a Halloween party tonight at nine. You want to come? You don't have to if you don't want to. I just thought that you would like to have some fun."
