CHAPTER TWENTY-TWO: BIRTHDAY

"Felix,"

"Marcus?!" Hillary shouted, she was more stunned than I was. But I didn't really know why. "I can't believe that I thought you were cute!"

"Aww." Marcus was flattered and it disgusted me. I couldn't believe that Felix was here and was in town. This was going to be a nightmare. This wasn't okay. At all. The one person that Liam hated more than Justin, was Felix. But I guess that since the accident, Liam probably forgot about Felix all together.

"Dylan, if your face stayes like that any longer, it'll stick." Felix said to me.

I gave him a snarling look. I turned around grabbing some bags of chips. "It was not nice to see you two," I turned back around to face the guys. "Hillary and I have a date with a couch and a tele. So, goodbye." I said to them before starting to walk away before Hillary grabbed my arm and brought me back to the group.

"Dylan, wait for me." Hillary smiled at me before pulling me in the other direction.

When we got far enough away from them, we finally breathed. "That was totally weird and strange. What is he doing here?" Hillary asked me.

"I don't know and I honestly don't care. Felix is dead to me. By the way, do you have a charger for my phone or should I buy a new one?"

"I think you should by a new one. Sorry, Dyl." She told me as she linked arms with me.

We went over to the electronics and it took forever to find the charger for my phone.

By twelve forty five, we finally got to the check out line.

I texted Shelly telling her that I was staying at a friends house.

The rest of the night ended smoothly.

I got back to the house around eleven in the morning. I was going to let Hillary have some time to be on her own and we were going to go get some dinner and go to a movie.

There wasn't a lot of cars in the driveway. Shelly's and Dad's were gone and only Liam's was visible.

I walked into the kitchen from the garage, prepared for anything, really.

Liam was sat in the living room, reading a book. "Where were you?"

I didn't say a thing while I walked over to I'm and sat next to him and hugged him and started crying. "I messed up."

"Harry told us. He was so angry, but it wasn't about that guy kissing you. Well, he was but he wasn't that mad. He was mad that another guy was able to kiss you in public instead of him. Then he was more mad that the phone died before he could say anything. So why are you crying so hard?" Liam threw the book to the right of him and now he was facing me.

"The reason I rushed out of here yesterday. This little girl that I met at the middle school, Sadie. She passed away right after I said goodbye. I didn't mean as that type of goodbye." I cried into his shirt.

"I'm so sorry."

We sat in silence for a little while. Liam just let me cry.

"By the way, happy birthday."

After everything that happened in the last twenty four hours, I kept forgetting that it was my birthday.

I walked to my room and took off all of my clothes, filling the bathtub with water and bubbles with some music to calm me down.
