Lets Do This

"Will you marry me?"
Everything was perfect. We were perfect. Nothing could spoil this moment. I was wearing the perfect dress to match his perfect suit.
"Yes-"
"Katniss wake up, Katniss"
I awoke to the sight of Rue,
"Where am I?" I said realising that I was still here.
"Well still in the arena, probably in the northern section?" Rue said smiling
"How long was I sleeping?"
"About three days, I changed your leaves"
I looked down onto my neck where I was sting by the bees.
"Thank you Rue" I said
I sat for a moment. Thinking about the dream I just had. It felt so quick so surreal yet lasted three days long.
What did the dream mean? I thought to myself as Rue clicked in my face to see if I was still alive. Rue was one out of the VERY few who actually like me. I was grateful to meet somebody like her. I mean everyone needs a Rue in their lives.
"What's the plan then?" Rue asked, expecting an answer from me.
"Erm I seriously don't know..." I said
"C'mon you have to have something" she said with a slight bit of hope.
"Let me freshen up a bit and then well think of something. Don't worry Rue I got your back" I said reassuring her.
"Okay" she said and turned back to tie her hair up. Rue had beautiful hair. Big soft curls that was to die for. Her glittering eyes stood out from her creamy skin. Such a young girl. I don't know how she could possibly go through this.
After a few minutes of staring at her I began to gather my hair up and tie it into a top knot. This was my only option as I learnt how to tie my hair up without an actual bobble. See, it did come in handy. I removed the mint leaf that was laying in my neck to a slowly recovering purple bruise.
"Ah" I said as I scrunched my face to the pain.
"You okay?" Rue turned around and made her way towards me.
"Yeah just hurts a bit"
"So what's the plan" she asked. Again.
"Okay, the area where everything is, is in the centre of the arena. It's surrounded by bombs that will explode anytime if someone trespasses. So, here's the plan. There's a packet of apples just hanging of the pile. I shoot, to let the apples fall and for everything to explode. Then group returns to find everything gone and I return back to you safely. Whilst this is happening you start a fire to get their attention. This will distract them leaving me enough time to get the plan over and done with understood?" I asked
"Yess boss, but we need like a signal to show each other were okay and we're returning soon." Rue added.
"Hmmm.."
Rue whistled a tune and some kind of birds repeated.
"Mocking jays!" I shouted in awe.
"Okay we got the signal" Rue said, cathing my attention.
"Okay, promise me you'll be okay Rue?" I said
"I will Katniss, promise" she said smiling with she bright green eyes gleaming.
I went in and hugged not knowing If I would see her again. An unshed tear rolled down my cheek as I began to pull away. I had to do this for Rue. For our survival...

So this is a new chapter.
I know my authors notes are crap but oh well.

I've been swimming recently and decided I'd like to write something- different.

So expect the unexpected, reading other peoples stories and their chapters being f*cking 50 pages long has inspired me to make mine longer.
