After that long talk with Pete about not only joining Fueled By Ramen, but also his label, DCD2, I was about ready to explode with happiness. I'm currently sitting next to Tyler and Josh, and I feel so opaque next to them. Josh smells like fresh mint, which I don't question too much, since he's been chewing gum the whole time. Tyler smells like vanilla, maybe one of Jenna's body lotions-

"What do you think, Kayla?" Pete gestures to me. I'm glad my stupid thoughts are interrupted, but this happens way too often.

"Sorry, could you say that again? I wasn't paying attention. I'm so sorry!" I nervously smile.

Pete chuckles. "It's fine, Kayla. It happens to me all the time." He gets up from his chair.

"I'm gonna ask you formally now, it's been discussed." He smiles.

"What?" I furrow my brows together. What the fuck is he talking about?

He chuckles – once again – before clearing his throat to speak. "Kayla, we would like you to join Fueled By Ramen, as well as DCD2."

I gasped. "Are you serious right now?"

The boys all laugh. "Just say yes, girl!" Dallon yells.

My eyes widen. "Y-yes! Of course, I'd love to join!" I nod vigorously.

"Great!" Pete claps. "Well then, that settles it!"

Pete heads for the door. "Thanks for bringing her over, Lucas." He waves at him.

"Thanks for letting Lucas kidnap you for an hour." Pete smiles at me. "I'm running really late, is it okay if we get to know eachother later?" He purses his lips, eyes more open than usual.

I nod, yet again. "Of course, there's no problem!"

"Alright then, the meeting's over! You may return home now." Lucas chimed in (don't)

I get up, waving goodbye to everyone – even though we were going in the same direction – and start to pick up my instruments, but not before getting interrupted, of course.

"I like your instruments, but it looks like you could use some help." Josh smiles at me, and Tyler waves.

I slightly smirk. "I like your hair, but that doesn't mean I'll style it for you." I try to make a witty comeback, which – of course – wasn't working.

"Why? Does red hair scare you?" He raises an eyebrow.

I roll my eyes and pick up my instruments.

Tyler rushes towards me and helps me with my instruments, and I had no choice but to let him. "You're stubborn, Josh likes stubborn girls." He looks at Josh then winks at me, to inform me that he's messing with Josh.

"Tyler!" Josh complains, his eyes widening in a "stop it" sort-of expression.

"I'm kidding!" Tyler lets out a giggle. How in the world can someone be adorable and attractive?

"Besides, Kayla has a boyfriend, I bet."
Josh blushes, looking down to the ground. That's how, I thought to myself. Tyler certainly embarassed him.

I bit my lip, trying to keep it together before saying: "I had a boyfriend, but we broke up a while ago. It's kind of why I started playing music in the streets anyway." I smiled at the end, trying to make it look like I wasn't still hurt over the Brad situation.
