I was woken up from my hospital bed by a loud gasp, which – after opening my eyes – I found out came from Tyler.

"Kayla! Oh my gosh, are you feeling okay? You look bad!" He widened his eyes and stared at my face.

I chuckled. "Yeah, that's exactly what I wanna hear, how fucked up I look right now."

He opened his mouth to apologize but I interrupted him. "Yes, T, I'm doing okay."

He laughed. "T sounds like a 'gangsta' nickname."

I shrugged. "So then you'll be a gangsta, T."

He smiled, shaking his head. "Is it a good time to talk about how crappy Josh has been feeling?"

"Not really, but since you are, I guess it's alright." I sigh, making myself comfortable – or  the best I could get – so I could give all my attention to Tyler.

"Listen..." he pauses to run a hand through his hair.

He's ridiculously attractive.

And probably likes vanilla sex.

"Josh doesn't shut up about you. He said he lied to you." He continued.

I scoffed. "Why would he do that to me, then? I don't understand!" I groan.

Tyler shakes his head. "He was jealous of your ex."

I scoff, yet again. "Is that an excuse for him to tell me he was 'only in it for sex', or for him to leave at all?" I glare at him.

He furrowed his eyebrows "Why are you mad at me?"

"Seriously, Tyler?" I sat down on the bed, crossing my arms, before continuing, "You're defending him!"

"I'm not defending anyone!" He exclaimed. "I'm just stating facts."

I rolled my eyes. "Oh yeah, maybe you should shove those facts up your-"

"Kayla."

I turned my head towards the voice I heard. It was Lucas'.

I gasped. "Lucas, I'm so sorry, I didn't know it was you." I apologized to him.

He chuckled. "It's fine. Tyler here gave me an essay of all that you've been going through. It's no worries."

I let out a sigh of relief.

"However," Lucas handed me a contract. "You need to pick yourself up, we're about to get serious."

I bite my lip, worrying. "Do I need to sign this now?" I ask him.

"You have three days." He gave me a faint smile.

His phone rang and he excused himself out to take the call, apparently it was important.

I sighed, laying back down on the bed.

"I'm sorry, T." I apologized.

He slightly smiled. "It's okay, don't worry about it."

"Where's Josh?" I ask him.

He purses his lips together. "Out."

I raise an eyebrow. "Josh's gone out? He's not the type."

Tyler nervously chuckles. "Well, yeah... it's just- it's complicated. He's just been all reclusive ever since you guys fought and-"

I give him a stern look. "Tyler." He stares back at me, a nervous look displayed on his face.

"Where is Josh?" I demanded his answer.

"He's out with Jane." He gulped.

My heart shattered at the mention of another girl. "Who's Jane?" I asked.

He ran a hand through his hair, staring down at the floor for a good two seconds, before replying to me.

"His ex-girlfriend."
