A/N: You and Damian are both 15 in this story, for obvious reasons. Hope you like it!

I sigh as I walk into my class, taking a seat at the back of the class. I hated science, and I knew that the teacher would be giving us our partners for the upcoming science fair project today, which I was not looking forward too. I could never seem to come up with any inspiration for these kind of things. But, at least I had the smallest sliver of a chance of getting paired with Damian Wayne.

I had a crush on him for the whole year, but could never gather up the courage to talk to him. I mean, it's not like I'm super shy or whatever, but aside from being the son of Bruce Wayne, he was also kind of scary. He didn't talk to anyone, had a dangerous look in his bright blue eyes, and was rude to any poor kid who tried to talk to him. But I couldn't help it, I just felt like there might be something... more to him.

"Well class, as you know, you will be receiving your partners for the project today, so lets get that over with.." the teacher said in a monotone voice.  I didn't hear my name for a while, and zoned out until I did. "...and (Y/N) and Damian. Okay, you can start working now, but not too loud, I have a headache." The teacher groaned before sitting down at her desk. There was a moment of silence in the room, before everyone suddenly got up and started talking. I looked over at Damian, who was casually sitting at his desk, fiddling with a pencil. He made no move to come to me, so I weaved my way through the people and stood awkwardly in front of his desk.

"Uh...hi, I'm (Y/N). I guess we're partners?" I said shyly. He glanced up at me with a scowl on his face. "I prefer to work alone, but this teamwork thing seems unavoidable at the moment." He began, as my eyes widened. "So, if you wold like, I can complete this stupid project on my own and you can just put your name on it. Tt- I doubt anyone here could come up with an adequate idea anyways." He stated. I raised my eyebrow at him. I mean, he may not want to talk to me, but he didn't have to be so rude about it. But still, I was hopeful.

"No way!" I exclaimed. "I don't even know you, why would I put the fate of my grades in your hands? We're doing this together, whether you like it or not." Damian finally made eye contact with me and smirked. "And here I thought you were the quiet girl at the back of the class. Fine, if you're going to be stubborn about it, let's go to my house after school to work. Meet me outside." The bell rang, and I made my way to my next class, relieved that I hadn't made a total fool of myself in front of him.

After school, I walked out into the cool fall air and shivered a little. I looked around for Damian, but couldn't find him, until I felt a tap on my shoulder. I whirled around to see him standing behind me, an amused expression on his face. "Yeesh, you're like a ninja!" I exclaimed. He rolled his eyes at me before leading us to a car, which took us all the way to the Wayne manor.

His butler, Alfred, held the door open for us as we walked inside. I looked around, amazed by the layout of the house. "How do you manage to use this much space?" I questioned as we walked into his library and sat down at a table. Damian smirked at my reaction. "We manage. Anyways, what kind of science project do you want to do?" I was about to answer when suddenly, this huge Great Dane came trotting into the room, and sat at Damian's feet. I gasped in surprise; I absolutely love animals.

"He's adorable!" I squeal as Damian furrows his brow. The dog came up to me and sniffed my hand, before deciding that I seemed okay and letting me pet him. "Don't call Titus adorable." He growled. I paused my little animal fangirl session and looked up at him. "You know, you would probably have a lot more friends if you were a little nicer to people." I stated. He glared at me, his bright blue eyes staring into mine. "I don't need friends. I have other things to worry about." He replied, obviously annoyed with me. "Like what?" I questioned.

"Look, let's just finish this stupid project and then you can stop with your insistent pestering." Damian said. I huffed and started to take out my books. "I don't know why I ever even liked you in the first place." I mumbled under my breath.

"You like me?" he questioned. Oops. My mind raced as I tried to find an explanation for what I said. "Um, no, you must've misheard me..." I said trailing off as he narrowed his eyes at me suspiciously. "No, I heard you. Besides , I can always tell when someone is lying, and you definitely said that you like me." I sighed in defeat and looked down at the table, embarrassed. "Alright, yes I like you. But you clearly prefer no human contact, so just forget about it, okay?" To my surprise, he replied. "Maybe.. we could go out sometime, if you're so intent on me talking to people." My eyes widened, and I blushed.

"Really? I mean, we could go see a movie.. Friday maybe?" I said as I nervously tapped my pencil against the paper. He nodded, and suddenly I had a date with Damian Wayne. We worked on our project for the rest of the day, until I had to leave. At the door, I hesitated before leaving, and before I changed my mind, quickly kissing him on the cheek before hurrying out the door, excited for Friday.

The next Damian one will be the part two of this story!
