"Geraldine. Dad. Help. I need help." Alex mumbled, slowly waking up from her unconsciousness.
"Shh, you're alright love, you're safe." A kind sounding voice spoke, in Alex's mind it was the voice of her mother. In reality it was someone completely different.
"Where are we?" Alex asked, she tried to open her eyes but they failed her and closed again. She managed to see trees from above her and a red ball if light setting in the distance. She knew she was being carried somewhere, she could feel the weightlessness, apart from the two arms holding her up.
"The place of your dreams. Go on back to sleep darling, I'll wake you when we arrive." The voice promised, Alex only nodded in response and cuddled up to the person's chest.
Three hours later, which felt like five minutes to Alex, she woke up to the smell if burning and the crackling if fire. She sat up abruptly, but too abruptly as she had to lay back down again due to a headache. Many questions were running through her head at this moment, 'Why am I here?', 'Who kidnapped me?' and 'Where exactly is the place of my dreams?'.
"What kind of shit have you gotten yourself into this time, Alex?" She grumbled as she slowly sat up properly and looked around. There was a fire burning in the middle of the plain ground, whoever kidnapped her wanted her to be warm. "What? No food?" Alex said to herself, even in the darkest times she still tried to make light of it. But this was too serious, she only realised this after. "I have to figure a way out of here." She looked around for any clear paths to follow. She spotted one and ran straight towards it, but before she could reach the start of the path a wall of some sort blocked her path. "What?" she questioned and began banging on the wall.
"I wouldn't do that if I were you," Alex turned around to see where the voice had come from, but there was no one. "You'll disturb the fairies." The voice whispered in her left ear, but once again disappeared when she turned around.
"Who's there?" She had to admit, that was probably not one of the most original questions she could have asked.
"I suppose I better show myself." The voice spoke with a sigh, there was a tap on Alex's shoulder and she turned around to find herself only inches away from a slightly taller boy. She was about to take a step back, but she knew that in situations like kidnapping you should never appear as weak. But did that rule actually apply here? Wherever it whatever the hell 'here' was.
"What do you want with me?" She asked, anger obvious in her voice. She couldn't help admire the boy's well, everything, he looked perfect. The boy chuckled and put a hand on Alex's shoulder.
"I want to help you, to do what you've wanted me to do for years." He told her, she raised an eyebrow at him, he imitated her.
"And what do I need help with?" Alex questioned, the boy took his hand off of her shoulder.
"You wanted to get away from you're horrible mother, I heard you, I've seen the way you look at her, you hate her." Alex gaped at this, she poked his chest, he didn't budge.
"You don't know anything about me." She growled at him, he grabbed her hand and held it momentarily. Alex felt goosebumps at the feel of his touch.
"Actually, I know everything about you," The boy smiled at her, he kissed her hand after he spoke his next sentence. "Let me introduce myself, I am Peter Pan".
