The Final Dance

They say that death runs to the cowards song,
But can't they see that this world is far too cruel for us to stay?
That the odds have been stacked against us all along?

When they deny that Death rushes to the melody of the those unafraid to die,
Those deemed as cowards by society,
I simply say
"Pardon me, I hate to be rude, but why can't you see that Death takes home the brave? That he's a gentleman who waits till you offer him the last dance?"
But, alas, my agruements do little but fade into the air,
As they continue to mock and deny,
Saying that it is but a cry,
A cry for attention.
But,
You must remember that life is but a lie.
But, my dear soldier,
You must also remember that the final dance only lasts so long.
