It Needs to Change

tried imagining a world without hate,
Without war,
Where everyone no matter what is treated equally,
Without violence,
Without hunger,
Without poverty,
Where everyone was educated,
Without thrist,
Without pollution,
Where she is believed,
Without water being poisoned,
Without people living on the streets,
Where’s there no walls or plans of walls,

And I couldn’t.
It seemed so far off and so unrealistic,
Impossible to achieve,
How could there be peace?
People will never change,
Violence is apart of human nature,
Well, if they want food they should work for it,
If they don’t want to be poor they should get a job and work for it.
Well, if they work hard and school and their parents actually work they should have no problem getting an education,
If they want water they should be able to get it, nothing’s stopping them,
Well God’s gonna take care of it, do you honestly think that he would abandon us?
Did you see what she was wearing?
Oh, relax their waters not gonna be poisoned, those pipes are tough they won’t break.
If they don’t want to live on the streets they should stop drinking and stop doing drugs and actually get a job.
Trump wants to build that wall to protect us!
They should just go back to their own country if they love it so much.

That’s how its always been,
It needs to change.
Peace can be achieved,
It’s not that hard to have an open mind,
Love and compassion is human nature, not violence,
They do work for it, but they’re not being paid enough to survive.
They can’t get a better paying job, for whatever reason,
It’s kinda hard to focus when you’re scared for your life.
They don’t have access to water.
God’s abandoned us, it’s on our shoulders now,
It doesn’t matter what she was wearing.
The pipe is the poison.
They have several different reasons they can’t get a job that aren’t related to drugs or alcohol and that aren’t your place to judge.
Trump wants to isolate us and close our borders that have always been open to our fellow human beings.
They will literally die of they go back to their country, no matter how much they love it.

It needs to change.
